Hollywood 16 Theatres

Tuscaloosa, Alabama has always been know for it's hometown atmosphere and charm mixed with the high-energy college town vibe. Cobb Theaters managed to blend these things well with their theater when they built it around 2004, and since then, they have put two other theaters in town out of business, switched to all digital projection, host live events regularly, added an IMAX theater, and continuously manage to get great service out of their high school/college-aged employees. Never dirty, with a policy that keeps guests away from the auditorium until it is presentable. The food is expensive, but all of it is cooked to order and delicious. The only thing I would like to see is for Cobb to add a CineBistro screen or two to this location. more

To be clear the other person who wrote that the 'theatre seating' needs to do some research.....These style seats are called 'Stadium Seating' and most parts of the country have had them for 7 to 9 years, everytime I came home I hated going to the moview here and I do agree it's about time that Ttown got Stadium Seating Theatre and as far as they go, this is definitely a nice Theatre. more

It's a first class theater, but concession prices are WAAAYY too expensive! Seems as if they would realize they would sell more if the prices were reasonable. For the most part, it's just easier (and cheaper) to wait til a movie comes out on DVD and just buy it! Wish they had some deals, like Midnight Movies for $1 too..... more

It is about time that Tuscaloosa got it's own theatre style seating theatre. From what I understand this is the biggest theatre in the state of Alabama. All of the theatres have theatre style seating. They have all sorts of refreshments and games to play while you wait on you movie to start. This is definitely a nice theatre. The only thing that is annoying is when the movie that you want to see is at Bama 6 instead...that's when I drive to Birmingham to see it. more
