Horrible puppy mill store that often sells terminally ill animals to unsuspecting victims(/customers). more

Not very helpful 12/6/2011

My sister brought me a new rabbit cage from there. The lady told her it would fit any size rabbit and it doesn't need a litter pan since there is a grate with a pull out tray on the bottom. My sister got it home and gave it to me but i noticed that the grate holes were way to small for the rabbits poop to fall down onto the tray so he would need a litter pan. After we got it the ramps in and the little platforms for the rabbit to sit on and the little wooden house and the litter pan there was NO room for the rabbit to move and the ramps and platforms were way to small for him to climb up on. We worked for hours trying to figure out how to fix it so everything will work, but there was no way it was going to work. The next day we took it back to the store and they didn't have ANYTHING that would work for my rabbit. We told the lady that there was no room for the rabbit to move and that the grate holes were to small for rabbit poop. She said that it would fit and that it was made for rabbits. We asked for our money back so we could go somewhere else but they said we can only get store credit. Why would we want store credit when there was nothing that would work there. So we are stuck with store credit from a place that i won't ever go back to. Beware, watch what you buy. My sister didn't know much so she trusted the lady, but turns out the lady doesn't care about the animals welfare, just cares about making money. The cage would work for small animals like ferrets and guinea pigs, but not rabbits. I don't care that they say its for rabbits because it would be inhuman to put rabbits in there to lay in their own poop. more

should be SHUT DOWN 8/22/2010

The way they treat the dogs is beyond abuse. It's amazing to me that they are even still open. They are peddling puppy mill puppies and cram ten of them into tiny little cages and then ignore them as they vomit each others feces. NYS has its priorities all messed up, this place should be SHUT DOWN!!! more

You want HOW MUCH for that puppy??? 8/2/2010

I make a stop in this pet store every chance I can get to the mall just to make a brief visit with the pups. I am outraged at the price they attempt to sell their puppies, considering the amount of animals needing a good home. Some of the puppies are allowed to roam the narrow hallway outside of their cages at times, while some stay locked in their small metal crates while prospectors stare at them. Each time I have visted, there is urine or feces on the floor where they are expected to play, sleep, etc. Upon my last visit, I almost caved and purchased another pet needing a home (I have 2 former homeless pets currently) until I saw the ""sale"" price.....$800!!!! Yes, $800 for a puppy from a pet store who is in need of a ""good home"". Unfortunately it is ultimately the dogs who suffer. You can adopt a pet in need at a local shelter for $50 or you can spend almost $1000 at a pet store. You still then have to pay all the remaining expenses such as vaccinations, neutering, food, preventatives, etc. I feel so sad for these animals. If I had an extra $5000 sitting around, I'd go purchase them all, then adopt them out to good homes at a ""reasonable"" cost. Pros: location Cons: overpriced more

Buyer beware ... ask questions 10/12/2009

I've learned to ask questions about animals at this store. Some have health issues that you aren't made aware of unless you ASK. You aren't always given the correct answers about medical conditions from the staff so it's best to ask your vet before purchasing one of these adorable puppies because you can't get your money back! Pros: mall location, easy to see animals, friendly staff more

They take such good care of their animals, its a wonderful place to just go hang out and play with the animals. The employees are also very polite and helpful. GREAT JOB HOLLY!
