I stayed on 19/12/2009 the hotel is run down and in need of repair and cleaning,there was mold growing on the tile wall in the bath tub and rust on the tub drain.The hotel had hockey teams staying there that weekend and the problem was not with kids but with drunk parents partying in the hallways.If you do stay there ask for a floor away from the drunks they try to keep them close to the pool. more

Don't have kids? Then don't stay here! 1/15/2007

We booked a room for one night at this hotel and decided to pay a bit more so we could relax in the hot tub and enjoy the pool. We didn't get to do either of those things as the hotel was full of teen girls going to a hockey tournament, which is great for them but not for other people who are not there for that occasion. Most all the rooms in the hotel are in a square shape around the pool in the middle. You cannot get away from the loud pool noise that goes on until 10:30 PM when the pool closes. We called the front desk and asked to be moved but they stated that "all their rooms faced the pool area", and they would not move us. If you are looking for a "kid friendly" hotel and don't mind people loitering in the halls drinking beer, and kids running up and down the halls screaming then this is the hotle for you. If you would prefer a quiet more relaxed atmosphere I would not recommend this hotel. more

Great place to stay for Grandma's Marathon 7/9/2005

Holiday Inn is a great place to stay for Grandma's Marathon! Not only this hotel a great place to stay, but they offer shuttle buses to the start line in Two Harbors, MN. Its also nice for family and friends as it has skywalks to take you right to the finish line and the Lift Bridge so you can watch the ships (which depending on your room, you can do this right from your room!). Plenty of parking in the parking garage which is secure. PROS: Great place to stay for Grandma's Marathon! CONS: Cost, Small bathrooms in the suits more
