My 2 daughters,3 nieces(ages 9-15),and I stayed here in June 2006. The room we had was nice, 2 beds plus sofa sleeper. The room was very clean and the beds were extreamly comfortable, especially for the price. We were 3 doors down from the lobby. We checked in at 3am and not only did we not have check out at 11am like most hotels would do our $55 rate covered that night. plus we recieved 4 Mt. Olumpus passes with our stay. Morning breakfast was enough for us,cereal, bagels, muffins, juice and coffee. The indoor water park was a little run down, tape on the side of the one slide and maintenance painting.Nothing was nasty, dirty,or dangerous. The water was clean and so were the facilities. The outdoor ""waterpark"" was small but cute. It could have used a bit more heat to the water but not freezing. I would stay here again in a pinch or last minute getaway if I was looking to sight see and experiance the Dells instead of dropping a high rate on a resort. After all what prince or princess doesn't want to stay in a castlel. I hope Holiday Inn will continue to keep the rates low and offer packages, Maybe some up grades, but it was deffinatly worth the money and good fun for kids under 12.
Pros: offered breakfast, great rates, clean, comfortable, friendly staff, water fun and tickets included
Cons: breakfast area to small, water a bit cold, and hallway carpet needed replacing
