Problem Date: 09/18/2010
I was very disappointed with this Hotels Management Team.
Let me tell you my story and what happened while I stayed here.
I felt uncomfortable and also felt harassed. My mother and I were just chatting in our room and then we heard someone knock on the door. It was the security guard. Asked us to keep it down that they had a complaint we were being loud. Which I thought was weird because we did not have a TV on and we were talking like normal. Everything was fine. Then we heard some loud noises outside our door. I had opened the door and saw a few young adults drinking and being loud by the elevator. As I turn to my right I jumped at what I saw leaning against my wall was the security guard. It scared me and I asked him "what are you doing there?" "why are you leaning against my wall like that?" He jumped when he saw me. I know he was surprised. I then proceeded to ask him what his name was because I was going to report him to the front desk. At this point I felt violated and felt uncomfortable with the situation. When I asked him his name he said his name was Matt. I looked over at his badge and it said Kyle. This again made me worry. He really looked suspicious. I did not trust this guy and I called the front desk. When I picked up the phone in my room it did not work. I had to use my own cell phone to call the front desk to ask what was going on and why this security guard was leaning against my wall. Erin was the night manager at this time. She was the one I spoke to regarding this complaint. I explained to her how uncomfortable I felt and that I wanted to call the cops. She was not sure why he was up there and was going to call him to come down. Again, I did not feel comfortable and could not sleep the rest of the night because of this. I did not know if this guy was a stalker or what. This is what was going through our minds the whole night.
Next morning I checked out and ask Erin at the front desk to give me a contact person that I could speak with when I returned to my home. She indicated to call Peggy and that she was truly sorry about what happened and that Peggy would work something out for us.
I called on 9/22/2010 and left a message with Peggy the office manager. No return call.
On 9/27/2010 I spoke with Michael (General Manager) explained to him what had happened and how I felt and he didn't seem at all interested in what happened and what made it even worse was he hung up on me. As a General Manager trying to run a business you would think he would want to hear the concerns of a guest at his hotel. I did not get that from him.
On 9/27/2010 filed complaint with Holiday Inn customer relations department and again no return call.
Just a little surprised by the professionalism at this place.
