Holcombe Heights

I live here now but will move ASAP! These apartments are completely awful! The current owner Todd Bridges of McFadden One LLC has a completely renovated apartment on the grounds. Their company lost over a million when they bought the property with aspirations of turning them into condos. They backed out of that because of the amount of work needed to be done to get them even livable. Virginia Hyslip, the manager refused to fix our water leak when we moved in last fall. We asked repeatedly and got put off and jerked around the whole time. Suffice it to say 6 months after telling them here is a serious mold problem and the owner, manager, and maintenance guy all blame and cover for each other. They have sent all sorts of workers to try to placate us by fixing little things and then telling the owner we nitpick. They have even refused to give us the results of the mold test! My 3 month old is neutropenic a medical condition in which her white blood cells cannot fight mold infection and when we told management of this Viriginia said she ""did not care because it does not affect her."" Instead of being accountable the owner has complained to us about how much the repairs are now costing him. The owner and RPM Management are the worst!!. DO NOT RENT HERE THE OWNER CARES NOTHING FOR HIS OWN PROPERTY!! more

I am a current and soon to be leaving tennant. The apartments have not been updated since probably the 70's (including the appliances). When you ask for maintenance to correct the problem, they send their own person instead of a professional so your problem is never really corrected. Their Office Manager never answers much less in the office so you can never get in touch with someone when you need them. The complex promised building a security gate in March 2008 which still has not been completed. There are exposed gas lines. Parking is not assigned and has become very troublesome with tennants having several partying friends come and go in the middle of the night and several cars being crashed into in the middle of the night, especially weekends. Needless to say there is also no guest parking or room for a car to back up. There was a break in where a stranger busted in a sliding glass window and battered the tennant before help could arrive. Management's response was that a Police Officer would live on sight, however it has been 6 months and I have still yet to see one. There is no division of smoking vs. non-smoking apartments so all of your non-smoking apartments will smell like a bar from your neighbors. Much less, balconies are shared and so you will have your partying, smoking neighbors take over your lawn furniture only to find beer cans and cigarettes butts on the ground after there late night feats. \r \r DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DON'T SACRIFICE QUALITY FOR THE VIEW!
