This company contracts with some of the worst hotels, charges outrageous prices, and teams are stuck in unsafe hotels that should be condemned. They ignore emails and phone calls and are happy to take your money, but will not make things right! Stay away! more

This organization has no regard for player safety. Witnessed a game where a player used their stick as a weapon hitting another player over the head. A minor penalty was called player remained in the game and Hockey Time Official does not care that referees don't do their job. They are too lazy to file a game report and issue a match penalty. more

I wish I would have know before we went into a tournament with this group. Very poorly run and the whole business wreaks of a money grab vs hockey first. Our team (mixes 09/10 B ) were slotted in with AA and were completely outclassed. I was made aware that this might happen by another team and even reached out to ensure we were properly slotted into the correct competition level. Tournament schedule and classification weren't avaible until 8 days before tournament. BS excuses given why this happened. Team was forced to stayed three nights where 90% of tournament teams stayed two. 4 games over three days means way to much time hanging around hotel. There is definitely a reason why they are considered "permanently closed" on Google so they can not get more negative reviews. Buyer beware indeed!!! more

Tournament is very poorly run. Cleveland President's day tournament was awfully officiated. Not much expectation for quality given officials are reffing at one rink at 8am and then have to drive 30min to another rink to ref till 11pm. An official was removed from a PW game due to being intoxicated. On top of that, they have officials who can barley skate reffing PW and Bantam games Add in that we had a player injured from a hit from behind. 5min + GM? Nope. 2+10min and then one of our players gets the same penalty for pushing the kid away. Opposing coach apologies and even acknowledges they got it wrong. Play 4 games at 4 different rinks with only 1 located within 10min of where you stay. Schedule a 930pm game at a rink 30min away and then have a 9am game the next day at another rink 30min away. Schedule changed the day before the tournament, changing time and rinks. They refuse to block schedule as it could mean one less night in a hotel and less money you have to pay. Guarantee anyone that its cheaper to book on your own. I would highly recommend anyone looking for tournaments look for ones run by an association or another organization. Easy to beat the low bar set here. The only reason they do well is because of the buy one-get one offer for teams. Their evaluation of teams is terrible. Seen travel teams play house teams in every division. As a coach, I have never liked going to these tournaments. more

Hockey Time Productions says they run tournaments per USA regs. but they don't make sure coaches are certified. Not good sense since you are putting kids in potential danger with non-certified coaches per USA Hockey. more

We signed up for a tournament in South Bend, IN at the beginning of the hockey season for Presidents day weekend. In mid January we were told there were not enough teams from Sean. Then when we talked to Mark, he said they were not able to secure ice times. So we asked what other tournaments could we get in. They suggested St Louis and Cleveland. Then when we decided to do St Louis, then they said well this is a silver tournament and you guys are B1 so that wont work. I finally got Mark on the phone, after calling them multiple times and asked if he could call me back to see what he could find, said he'd call back in a min. Well 6 hours later, again no call and he ignores my calls. I would highly recommend not scheduling any tournaments with this company. I am sure they are fine if all goes well, but if anything changes, this is a terrible company to deal with. more

Be aware house teams......you may end up playing so called house teams who have two different jerseys, matching hockey bags, helmets and warm up suits.....probably NOT house teams but travel teams loooking to take home a trophy at your kids' and your expense. What a waste of time and money! more

My son played in two hockey tournaments this year that were arranged by this company. Both times we were told that house teams and low level travel teams were scheduled to play. Both times we played more true travel teams than house teams. When I called to complain I was told that I did not know what I was talking about and that Hockey Time Productions does not want to hear from parents only coaches. Very sad to hear since the parents pay for everything and do so because we want our kids to have positive hockey experiences. The teams we played had matching warm up suits with their name embroidered on them, matching hockey bags and two different colored jerseys. The first team beat us 10 to 0 and we were the Champions of our house team division....and I don't know what I am talking about? Be aware all true house teams.....eh at your told and what you experience might not be the same when playing in a Hockey Time Tournament. more
