Okay, I have had glasses since I was 18 months old, & have had multiple surgeries to boot. I am 27 and have NEVER experienced a more rude, pushy doctor or contact/glasses staff in my entire life. Dr. Tasman's contact lens professional (a woman who will remain nameless) was so unbelievably condescending to me that I have vowed not to go back.
First of all, in all of my years and years of going to the eye doctor (and keep in mind I see a separate eye surgeon twice a year as well), I have always had them fit me for glasses and contacts during the same appointment. Well, not at this place. I went in & the appointment appeared to go as normal, and then when I called the office back a month later to put in an order for more contact lenses they refused me, saying that I would have to take another sick day off work to come in for a separate contact lens fitting. When I tried to explain that I had already been in just a month earlier and had already had the fitting, they were SO RUDE. Instead of being polite and rectifying the problem they told me to ""calm down if I wanted my contacts at all""...what the heck - were they going to hold them hostage or something? I have never had grown professionals speak to me like that before. They told me if I didn't come in, then I would just have to go somewhere else and get another fitting anyway.
I won't bore you with the rest of the details, but suffice it to say they had me COME IN 4 TIMES in all to get my contacts...and you bet they charged me for every visit! Not only that, but THEN THEY DIDN'T EVEN CHANGE MY PRESCRIPTION! They told me that I ""could get a minor adjustment for my right eye, but it didn't seem worth it since it's such a small change."" You know what? When you have me come in FOUR times to get my contacts, you had better make all the small changes you find! I will never return to this place.
Pros: Good selecton of glasses; clean office
Cons: staff is rude, pushy, and very inefficient
