After taking my son?s Traxxas Slash in for repairs, I was verbally quoted a price and told it would take two weeks to be repaired. When I called after the two weeks had passed, it still wasn?t ready and they acted as if I was pestering them by wanting an update on the repair progress.
Finally after a month, they called to tell me it was ready. When I asked for the price they had gone up 50% from the original quote. After several irritating discussions with the ?managers? I was told I could go get the truck free of charge. I went with the intent to pay for the part they put in it (a slipper gear) and the original quoted price to find that they had been misleading and the part was taken out and the car taken apart.
In one of my conversations with one of the managers I was told, (verbatim) ?Your car wasn?t priority?? SERIOUSLY!!?? Even if it wasn?t, that?s just not something you should tell a customer.
Bottom line? You want crappy customer service and long wait times on your repair? Be my guest and visit this terribly managed and ran Hobby Town USA.
?if not, then go to the one in Brandon or Tampa, or better yet order your parts way cheaper from stormerhobbies . com
