Wide variety of items! 4/17/2006

Hobby lobby has a wide variety of items, from craft projects, to scrapbooking items, stamps, material for sewing, wedding items and even nice home decor. They also carry a lot of nice items for holidays. They also have a huge artificial floral section. They often have great sales, sometimes even 2/3 off the price! The only downfall in the Lees Summit store is the lack of open registers. It always seems like you have to wait a long time to check out. more

Needs Improvement 4/14/2006

I agree with the other poster about them being overpriced, they really need to get a better selection and prices to start competing with Joanns and Michaels. We have one of each around here and even with Hobby Lobby being the closest I will drive out to Independence to go to Joanns. They used to be great, not so much anymore. more

I live within one mile of a Hobby Lobby store, however, I would rather drive a further distance to go to Jo Ann's or Michaels. Hobby Lobby recently started putting coupons in the Sunday paper in order to compete with the others. There are items are over priced and they do not usually have enough cashiers at the registers. I do like the variety of their fabric, but again they are much higher than other craft stores. more

Hobby Lobby 4/4/2006

If you are feel like being creative this is a good place to go. It is a huge craft and hobby store with lots of different items and home decor to chose from. One thing I like about Hobby Lobby is they have sales every week and most of the time they rotate what is on sale. So if you saw a mirror you like wait a few weeks it will go on sale and most of the time the sales run 40% off items. This is a great craft store to find anything you could need for a project. more

I love this store when I am in search of great projects to start on :) Also when I'm in need of fabric this is a great place to go as they are very reasonable with their prices compared to a few other places around here. Their shelves are always stocked up and always have what I need. This is by far my favorite craft store to go to :) more
