Hobble Creek Dental was awesome. I had a great experience with my husband. Gentle and thorough cleanings, clean and beautiful office, very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Had fillings and a root canal done, Dr Pratt did an awesome job and made sure I felt comfortable the whole time. I would recommend them to everyone! more

  • Digital X-Rays:

Digital x-rays have become the standard of quality and safety in the dental industry. A digital x-ray allows the dentist to take images of the teeth and jaw and put them into an imaging program to view on a computer. Within this imaging software, there are a number of tools that allow the dentist to take a very close look at the teeth and surrounding anatomical structures with amazing accuracy.

The major advantage to digital x-rays over conventional film dental x-rays is that digital x-rays emit nearly 80% less radiation than conventional x-rays. This is due to the fact that the digital sensors are much more sensitive than conventional films, and therefore less radiation is need to get the same image. Less radiation exposure to our patients is the main reason we have digital x-rays.

    Intraoral Camera:

The intraoral camera is an amazing diagnostic tool for taking images in the mouth that are used by the dentist in diagnosing and treatment planning. The camera gives us the ability to view the entire mouth on a video monitor so that we can get a closer look at problem areas. It is also an excellent educational tool as the patient will have the ability to see the images for themselves and will better understand the need for treatment the dentist is recommending. These digital images can also be submitted to insurance companies to help gain procedure approval and payment for patients.

    Rotary Endodontic:

Root canals were traditionally completed with hand files, a slow and tedious process that often led to very long appointments or even multiple appointments to finish one tooth. However, advancements in endodontic files and techniques have led to quicker, more efficient, and better quality root canals.

Rotary endodontic refers to the use of files in a rotary, or electrical, hand piece (much like the dental hand piece or drill used by the dentist to fix your cavities). This technology allows the dentist to work quicker and it is gentler on your teeth, making the appointment shorter and more comfortable for you.
