When you think of hot dogs and fries imagine pefection- why imagine- go to Hirams! I have been eating at Hirams for over 25 years and they have not changed one bit. Well, when you have perfection, why change? The huge dogs, served in perfect buns come out hot and ready to be dressed with spicy mustard and saurkraut from the warmer. I usually order the 21 - 2 dogs and 1 fries. The fries are not an after thought; they are a centerpiece also. Perfect fresh cut potatoes fried perfectly. Each fry tastes like a fresh succlent potato that has been crisped perfectly. This is THE hot dog and FRY place that I say is you haven't eaten at; then you better get there so you can see what fanstact fries and huge hot dogs with crisp casings that surroung a delicatble dog that say perfection with each bite. I grew up eating Hirams and trust me there is nothing better than their hot dogs and fries. I normally go there once a week and always get two dogs and a chili cheese fry. The hot dogs are the best hot dogs I have ever eaten and trust me I ate at a lot of hot dog places in my lifetime. The burgers are decent but do not live up to how awesome the hot dogs and chili cheese fries are. Just plain and simple: hot dogs (any way you like 'em), burgers, beer & sodas. What more can you ask for? We were surprised to find this on Fort Lee, a haven of Korean BBQ restaurants and sushi joints, but this place has a long history. Best hot dogs in the tri-state area. Guaranteed! I've tried them all. Go in there and order a dog, cb, and fry well-done, using that exact language, and you'll be a happy man. This place is beyond classic--the phone number listed is a pay phone (the only phone they have) and the conversation is dominated by Soprano's-esque local softball league talk.
