hip'tique ~ where i always go to find that item that no one else has. in a city filled with too much of the same thing, it's refreshing to walk into this boutique filled with unique gifts and hard-to-find labels. nestled on ellsworth in shadyside, hip'tique is worth the trip. the collection is diverse and the prices are reasonable. i would suggest becoming a fan on facebook, fans on facebook always know about sales and new arrivals first. i LOVE having the inside scoop (so will you). more

Hip'tique is a gem of a shopping experience! The victorian home is off the beaten path in the chic little neighborhood of shadyside, pa. Hip'tique's customer service exceeded my expectations, the owners are wonderful! The designers that they carry are the same as boutiques that I have shopped in Soho Nyc. I happened to be in Pittsburgh on business and I needed to get my wife something for her birthday. I consider myself a man with good taste, but it's always good to get advice from women when it come to shopping. I came across Hip'tique and right away I new this was a store my wife would shop at. From their style to their selection it was a good fit. From the moment I stepped in the store there was someone there to help me. The staff is hard working and they know their product well. It truly felt like a family atmosphere in there. My wife loved her gift and we are already planning a trip back to Pittsburgh. There is no doubt that Hip'tique will be on our places to visit list. I ordered a top on the new on-line Hip'tiquepa web site and it was great. The top is beautiful and it arrived quickly. It was easy to do and I look forward to more on-line shopping with Hip'tique since I cannot get to Pittsburgh often enough to visit the store in person. more

I am so tired of the chaos on Walnut and the mall traffic. I was able to get a spot right in front of the store on a rainy day. This store, and the mascot that sometimes welcomes you at the door, I love Maggie, is such a pleasant shopping experience. They have a wonderful selection from Tracy Reece, Akiko, Rebacca Taylor and others. more

Every time I visit Pittsburgh, I make it a point to stop into hip'tique! They always have a wonderful selection and the best additions for my wardrobe. I live in the shopping capital of the world (New York, NY) and I STILL always find the best things here! I also like the fact that the staff isn't pushy and gives you your space. When I need suggestions, they have a great eye for style and what looks good on each customer. There were several suggestions made where at first glance I probably never would have tried on, but after I tried the suggested pieces on I fell in love with them. It takes a person who really knows clothing and their customers to be successful at picking the right styles for different individuals. I used to love the old Hyp'tique....the selection and new store layout has changed drastically! What happened to the shoes, and all of the cute housewares! The customer service here is also horrible- I walked in and no one spoke to me for at least 15 minutes until I said hello to the saleswoman. I hope this new owner makes some changes and fast!
