I will never forgive myself for bringing my dog to this clinic - I had hoped that ten years after the 1st horrid experience I had with this clinic that it would have been different - unfortunately this is the only after hours option in Wichita. Had they even remotely listened to us - hours of suffering for my pet, my family and myself could have been avoided. The only ""diagnosis"" they excluded is what we were trying to tell them was happening. They chose to ignore us - the treatment they gave him intensified the problem 10 fold - in my opinion they basically charged us over 300 to torture my innocent little dog. I continue to have nightmares about the results of that trip. more

I would like to know how a dog with a nosebleed go from having normal vitals to being dead within an hour. We brought our precious dog in with a continuous nosebleed. We waited for 30 minutes to be seen. We expressed our concern that our dog was losing a lot of blood. The tech said ""It's only a nosebleed. Her vitals are normal. The Dr. will be in to see you in awhile."" He was very cold, not showing a bit of concern. When the Dr. (starts with Ch) finally came in, he said they were going to sedate her, not anesthetize, and give her epinephrine in the nose to stop her bleeding. He never told us that she was in ""guarded"" condition, as he would later write in his notes. He told us to come back before 7:00 a.m. and that we could call and check on her during the night. He, too, was very cold and matter of fact. He never, in our presence, bent down to examine our dog once. That should have been a warning sign there. We hadn't been home an hour before the tech called us and told us very matter of fact that our dog was dead. These people are not just inept, they are very cold and uncaring. This place needs to be investigated for its shoddy care. The Dr. wrote in his report that after our dog was sedated, she tried to get up a couple of times so they assumed she was okay and didn't call us. Hey Dr., have you ever heard of taking vital signs to see if the patient is okay? It's possible she was in distress and was trying to let somebody know. Maybe then, we would still have our dog. Let this be a warning for anyone who has no other choice but to go there. DO NOT sign a DNR as we did, because our dog was elderly. If you do, you are just signing a death warrant, for your beloved pet to be stuck somewhere and ignored. If they treat them bad in the examining room, just imagine how they treat them behind closed doors. DO NOT go home and leave your animal there. Make sure you visit your animal hourly. We have to live with the consequences of our decision to take her there. Hopefully, no one will have to go through what we did. more

THANK YOU! Best Animal Care Around! 8/19/2011

Our family has been to the Emergency Vet Clinic on several occasions and they have been life savers for our many animals. We've had everything from our elderly lab to our hunting dog bit by something to a sick cat in for services and the staff is incredibly knowledgeable, good to us and to our pets, compassionate when you have to leave them there and you know leaving there that they are in good hands. The communication from the staff is excellent and I never worry about my animals in their care. Great job and thank you for all you do for us! Take youe loving pet elsewhere !! 10/10/2010

I went 10/10/10..when I got there..I rang the bell.No one came. A customer let me in. The lady at the desk finally returned. I got my little yorkie (6 yrs old) registered. She told me they was running a little behind. That didn't bother me.My baby was sick. So we waited. while we waited 2 people left. That should of been a red flag.We finally got in a room 45 minutes later.20 minutes later a nurse came in.30 minutes later a dr. came in for less than 1 minute. he read what the nurse wrote. didn't ask me anything.told me there would be someone coming in to tell me the cost.well Cory came in wanted half of 500.00..I signed to do this.the hospital feels cold and very uncaring. they seem not to care. you know that feeling you get in your stomache, thats this not right. well I had it.I asked coryif someone is always there to take care of my girl.to watch her. and pet her a few times..He asured me ""always"" well...He told me he would be right back..after 30 minutes my gut feeling was getting way worse..So I went out the to desk..she was on phone saying she was getting off in 30 minutes.(a personal call) and 5 people was waiting at the desk..I went out to cool off with my girl..went back in and she was still on phone and e1 was still in line..I turned around and left !! Cory called me 20 minutes later and told me he was sorry..to please bring my dog back..he then begged (and he used that word) I told asked him if this is how they theat they animals..after I asked him at the office about the care..He bragged bout the hospital..e1 loves them..they tend to all animals etc..blah blah blah..atfer 10 minutes of his begging and pleading..I told him I was getting some chicken broth and pedialyte and taking care of her myself till i take her to her dr in the morning..Heres what was wrong with her..she was throwing up blood (LOTS) and pooping blood to..she was dehidrating also..while in the room she vomitted twice..I went to get help and a tech came in..wiped it and cleaned the area..acted like so what..I thought they would at least take a sample..she put the bind next to me if my dog would throw up again..Very very very very very cold person..cold place..uncaring...push u through or forget bout you..all Cory was worried is he lost 600.00 for his hospital..Please don't waste your time or your pets time and go here..If your pet is worse than mine..and by the time they get there to you..I hate to say this..but your pet might be dead..and they will still want the money..I will be turning them in to the vet. association today !! I never have wrote a reveiw..but I had to ...I don't want anyone to go through what me and my babygirl went through..she was so sick.....they didn't care..I am very mad and hurt by this vet hospital. more
