I recently made a pilgrimage to the North Shore to the ""birthplace of the fried clam"" . I couldn't wait to try them at the restaraunt that supposedly invented the fried clam. They were good...but nowhere as good as the clams at the Hingham Lobster Pound! The breading is the key, and they don't skimp on a quality mix. Couple that with fresh seafood, and you won't find a better fried clam. The onion rings rock, and they french fries the only way to do them (IMHO) big crinckle cuts, not too greasy, with light, fluffy interiors. Take a trip down 3A, you won't be dissappointed.
Pros: Food quality, fried foods are awesome. Excellent lobster roll.
Cons: a little on the pricey side...2 lobster rolls can set you back $25-30., not open too late
