Himalaya Grocers

Good: There is a lovely, kind, helpful young woman who works there. Great with my kids. Will do anything to help me figure out what I am looking for.. Bad: Selection is not THAT big. But, mostly I find what I want.. Improvements: I would like to see the other man who works there behave as warmly and kindly as that lady.. Other: I love this store. Really. It is clean. It has a great selection of calling cards. I can find what I want. I've been in many Indian stores in different places and have CLEARLy noticed that they treat me (white person) with graciousness while they treat my black friends with indifference. This is a pattern I have seen in many cities. But this store. Wow! It's like they have been waiting for all of us when we go in.. more

I ended up going to Himalaya Grocers because of the review that was put on this website. I didn't think that I would like it but I surprised myself. There are tons of stuff here that I would never have found anywhere else. A friend of mine brings this indian food to lunch all the time at work and it tastes great. However, I could never find it any other place. When I got here though, it was one of the first things that I noticed. Great prices as well. I would have thought that a relatively small store would need extravagant prices to stay in business but mostly everything here was cheap and it was very nice. Personally, I LOVED THIS STORE! I've been to this store at least three times in the past two days just because it is so interesting. I highly recommend it to anyone. It is worth at least checking out! more

Himalaya grocers is the one stop for all your Indian and pakistani groceries....they have best prices so you can save money and time...besides their groceries they also have sweets and snacks...they have VHS and DVDs of Indian movies, dramas and much more...you can either rent the movies or buy them...its your choice...which is the best thing i like...they also carry Cds, cassettes of Hindi nad punjabi music....its just a perfect place to find any Indian grocery and entertainment stuff... more
