Even though it has changed hands a while back, the Hilltop still offers terrific food at a good value. They still have the basic steaks and tips plus they have a few other like scrod and chicken . Also, now they have soups, sandwiches, salad entrees. But.............they don't seem to have the Lobster casserole anymore....sob, sob. They only have a seafood casserole in a wine sauce......that is a bit different......I want my Lobster pie back..........sob, sob. more

Nice environment 8/5/2005

I like the environment over there, the food is also good and affordable. The waitress was really friendly and helpful since it was my first time there. She explained every special and the recommended meals. I happened to try the steak tips. It is very nice and juicy. I am hungry now more

Kid friendly and fun 8/5/2005

This is great place for all you red blooded meat eaters out there. Ever since I can remember I have been coming to Hill top since I was a little girl. The food is great and if you like ribs this is the place to go. They offer plenty of free parking. And they kids will love the cows out side. more

Beware the Plastic Cows! 7/19/2005

HIlltop Steak House is one of the many sights along Route 1 through northern Mass. You can see the giant cactus sign from quite a distance and the front lawn is full of plastic cows. The restraunt actually can hold a lot of people. I had arranged an 18 person party and they had no problem accomodating us, along with plenty of other customers. The menu features all different kinds of steaks and they are surprisingly reasonable when it comes to the prices. They even have their own butcher shop if you just want to stop in to bring some home. They also have a sunday breakfast/brunch buffet! more
