The location is great, the ambiance is typical of the Houston's chain. But the quality is still consistently good. Love this place. Only downside is it is not an atmosphere for large families yet there were a lot of kids. Great bar too. Pros: Food quality, Location, Bar Cons: Too many families more

My boyfriend & I had heard very good things about this restaurant. So we went there with high hopes. First, the restaurant provides only about 20 spaces that you can self park. Those were completely full so we had no choice but to use the 'complimentary' valet. Which you HAVE to tip them as they wait by the door. So that 'complimentary' cost us $10 to park. Then we decided to order the Hawaiian Ribeye steak with fries & a salad. The service was wonderful & the salad was delicious. But when the steak & fries came they were both very greasy. The steak was 1/2 fat(literally) and the fries were soggy. So $73 later we left hungry. I don't recommend it. (at least not the steak or fries) more

We found Houston's simply by getting lost looking for a restaurant while staying at the Orlando Airport. Driving thru Orlando right after Charley, not much was open and we continued on. Found Houston's by accident and were glad we did. My Crab Cakes were devine (best since Maryland) and my husband's steak was one of the best he's ever had. Food was plentiful, beautifully presented and the staff was young, eager and energetic. Lovely to look at view (over lake - although littered with fallen oaks). Not for the tight wallet, but well worth the price. We self-parked (handicap plates got us right up front). Be careful of the martini olive toothpicks - they could be used as pole vaults (but the martinis were great!) If we could get lost again, we'd certainly go back to Houstons. My husband and I eat here frequently and now have begun to bring our child on Sunday's. Sometimes there is an awfully long wait on Friday & Saturday nights so you need to go early if you want to avoid that but thats a sign of a well liked restaurant. Service is always good and food is very tasty. Never had a bad meal. At night it has very romantic lighting. Its not the quietest place but the seating arrangements allow you to have some privacy from your neighbors. Overall always a great experience. Do use the Valet parking its much easier. more

This is one of the few restaurants located on a lake in Orlando. Out of that grouping, it definitely has the best... and most romantic... setting. Great atmosphere and exceptionally professional front-of-house (especially for Orlando). The right crowd. Very busy on dinner Fri/Sat..just order a glass of wine from the bar and relax on the side patio. Great Ribs - Hamburgers - Tasty vegetable plate and salads - Desserts. I think this is the best place to go on a date. You know that woul will be getting great service,as well as the romance of the sunset on the lake. The food is always excellent and service is attentive. I love this restaurant! Pros: Free valet, exceptional food, Great view more

I love this place. Not only is the food always very very good, but the service and ambience takes the cake. It is normally busy but there is a bar to sit at or you can take your drink out on the the dock and watch gaze at the lake. I recommend the artichoke dip and the prime rib. Happy eating! more

Houston's is likely the most reliable restaurant around. The service is always spectacular and the food speaks for itself, you have to try it... there is something for everyone who loves a good American dish. I know I can count on Houston's to be great everytime. more
