I have been using Hilliard Floral Design for over 10 years now. I read some of the previous tips and I can gladly say I have never had a negative experience with the flower shop. The staff is always more than willing to help, and it seems it has been the same staff from when I began using them. I am no flower expert, but they always seems to take my idea and make it beautiful. I have never had my house decorated by Hilliard Floral (nor did I have any idea they offer that service), but I could only imagine the wonderland they would create because of the way the inside of the shop is decorated. Most recently I had to send an arrangement to a former florist and she called to tell me how beautiful it was and could only give me compliments. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic, small business. more

More disappointment! After 10 years of using Chris and her team to decorate my home on occasions, especially for my holiday entertaining I was cancelled because of sick kids. They called on the morning of my appointment (after waiting 2 weeks for the appointment) to say they were running late, I said that was fine we were a little late ourselves because I had a child home from school ill. An hour later I received a phone call saying Chris doesn't allow them to set up homes if there is an ill person in the home. What kind of seasonal small business cancels a customer for having an ill child! Could you imagine if other retailers, restaurants, hotels, physicians offices, cleaning companies, service companies closed during flu season? Suggestion: have employees get a flu shot and concentrate on customer service! more

My vet's office was kind enough to send me a small bouquet of flowers after the euthanization of one of my pets. I like the flowers, but it is disappointing to see the only rose in the bunch has dark frays along the edges, like it is old. Care much about how your product goes out? more

I'm was not impressed by Hilliard Floral (HF). The company was suggested to us by a good family friend who frequently purchases their bouquets of flowers. But I'll be honest: I expected more from Chris and her team. She wasn't very helpful when we were looking at her series of floral bouquets from other weddings. I wanted classic and clean, what she offered were Bridezilla-esque monstrosities. What we got: my bouquet started falling apart half an hour into the wedding. Table arrangements were not heinous, but not exquisitely breathtaking. We wanted low table arrangements of delicate florals and greenery so that people could see across the table while smelling good flowers. What we got: bunches of flowers that looked like they had been jammed into a smaller vase with some awkwardly placed leaves. The only way that I would work with HF again is if I came up with the table arrangements myself and gave them pictures of how to make it. Better yet...I'd find someone else. Especially since it's on my dime. more

Hilliard Floral Design designed the flowers for my wedding this past spring. I consider myself to be very picky and a little high maitenance. All of the girls there were so kind and patient with me! My flowers were out of this world!!!!!! They really made my day special and so much more than I ever could have expected. My friends are now using them for their own weddings! Looking forward to ordering with Hilliard Floral again! Pros: Most gorgeous and unique flowers I have ever seen more

I used Hilliard Floral for my wedding last year, and I just have to say I couldn't be happier!! The service was wonderful, they were extremely creative and the flowers were absolutely perfect. I can't say enough good things about them! Pros: Beyond flowers, they have a shop cat named George. Cute! more
