This place is now called Hillery's on Toulouse and owned by Chef Ed & Hillery Moise. Tucked behind a small lounge, it could easily be missed. It was close to our hotel so we tried it. The pre-dinner bread roll was hard and dry. A terrible start, but their version of BBQ Shrimp was actually pretty good. Next we tried the Corn & Shrimp Chowder and the White Bean & Smoked Sausage soup. Both were very good. My entree (Crawfish Vonnie) was Liguini with crawfish in a spicy cream sauce. It was tasty but not particularly amazing. My wife had the Daily fish special (Redfish) sauteed with crawfish, white wine, and lemon butter - also pretty good. For dessert we had the caramel custard and it was excellent. The dining room was attractive but the service was spotty. Prices are resonable for the French Quarter. The wine list is limited.
Pros: Reasonable Prices, Not crowded, Soup & Dessert
Cons: , Spotty Service
