Mixed results: About 3 years ago my experience was positive, but my recent experience (May 2013) left much to be desired. My unit was under a 10 year warranty that covered both parts and labor. I had all documentation of warranty and purchase date proving it was 8 years old and under warranty. The technician said that the compressor was bad, and in spite of the warranty papers, said that it would cost $1700 to repair my unit with charges for labor and coolant. I asked for the name of another certified local repairman for the brand, which he provided. I called the other business for a second opinion. They came promptly and diagnosed a leak in the coil. Ultimately it required both a new coil and compressor, but they charged only $200 for the coolant replacement. My new company of choice is the company that charged only $200, in spite of having to wait for the parts to come in.
