If you are thinking to apply for this place, please think twice. I had an awful experience with them. I spent 6 weeks attending their "parents and me" class in order to get an application, of course, I paid a lot. Then, they'd encourage you to take the 2nd class, and of course, you need to pay for it. There is an application fee, and once you were accepted, there is another fee. I never got to that stage, though. I got a rejection letter 6 months later. Then, I realized that I was competing with nearly 30 kids, and they only have 2 openings. You can imagine how much money they made out of you!
We felt like we were been discriminated. They selected the kids based on who you are and what you do! So, be prepared if you are thinking of applying for your kids. They may have excellent programs, good facilities, but I won't be happy if my kid was selected. Don't believe they said Santa Monica residents have priorities. None. It's their way of making money out of you. I know there are limited spaces in Santa Monica. If you have other options, don't choose this place. Try YMCA. It's reasonable, good facility, and you won't be judged.
