Best Casual Dining and Steaks 7/16/2007

A great relaxing setting in western Maple Grove. The service is top notch and the food even better. I have been dining at Rush Creek for over 6 years and have never had a bad experience.\r \r The highlight of the menu just may been the fine steaks at reasonable prices compared to traveling downtown Minneapolis to dine. I recommend to everyone and it I think others do too. It is a very busy spot all year round.\r \r Keeo up the great work and we will keep coming back.\r \r CJ - Maple Grove Pros: Ample Parking, Great staff, Terrific Food Cons: Very busy on Friday and Saturday Nights more

Wonderful food and great scenery! 7/16/2007

You don?t have to love golf in order to have a great time at the Highlander Pub. While the golf course is one of the best in the Twin Cities, the food is a near match. While I hate to recommend it (for fear of not being able to get reservations) the brunches for Father?s Day and other special days are nothing less than spectacular.\r \r You are seated in one and one-half hour increments, so you feel no need to hurry. They start by bringing you some of their famous cinnamon rolls, and a frizzy drink. But after that, you are on your own with a buffet of regal proportions. Smoked salmon with capers and a tantalizing cucumber tarragon sauce, wild mushrooms, artichoke salads, raw oysters and clams on the half-shell (not every year), plus pasta salads and fresh, fresh fruits.\r \r Then there is the traditional omelet bar, sauteed walleye, new potatoes, brussell sprouts, and countless additional vegetables in tantalizing sauces and throws. But the topper, the reason to go is the Prime Rib! It does melt in your mouth. It cuts softer than butter and has such flavor you would be happy if one slice of it was all you got to eat for a week.\r \r You can end your meal with dozens of desserts or go straight to the ?chocolate fountain.? Yes, a fountain of high quality chocolate you can cover strawberries, melons, raspberries, marshmallows, pineapple, cherries, or just about anything your heart desires. All of this for $25 plus tip and tax. Once you try it, you will come back every year. See you there.\r Pros: Great atmosphere, easy parking, golf included. Cons: Far out of the city. more

romantic dining 7/16/2007

My friends and I always look forward to having dinner on the terrace after playing golf. The view is spectacular and the service is always cheerful, attentive and accommodating to special requests. Because the food is sooooo good, we generally like to try something new each time. We have never been disappointed in our selections and look forward to the next time we golf at Rush Creek. Their menu has ""something for everyone"" and the staff has been gracious to split a meal at the kitchen before it's served. If you're looking for a beaufiul view that is peaceful and quiet - this is the place to go. Pros: Spectular view, wonderful meals, friendly service staff more

Awesome customer service! They treat children like special guests. 7/15/2007

The food is incredible. They know how to make chlidren feel special and have always gone out of their way to stop by our table while dining. more

Wonderful view and excellent food 7/15/2007

Superb view inside or out. Only outdone by the food and service. Great fireside dining in the winter months and fantastic patio dining in the summer months.\r The menu includes many items from pasta to burgers to great fish and excellent steaks.\r A must dining experience for the Twin City area. more

Great food, great golf course view 7/15/2007

I eat at the Highlander every Sunday after golfing. The steaks are excellent and they have a very good chicken fetuccini. Opt for the Caesar salad too. And their Long Islands are great - you'll only need one and drink it SLOWLY.\r \r Whether you order your steak rare or medium well, the chef nails it almost every time. You have your choice of ambience for pub/sports bar feel in the main bar room to white linen/romantic dinner in the dining room (many high school students pick the Highlander as their dinner destination on Prom Night) or casual on the patio (weather and season permitting, obviously). Pros: Good atmosphere, great food. Cons: Parade of waitstaff and golfers in and out of veranda, long wait for the check. more

Great Food Before /After Golf 7/15/2007

Great food before or after golf. The staff aimes to serve. The formal dining area is nice for a qiet get together or the Pub is fantastic to handg with the boys after a round on the ""Creek"" more

Great View 7/15/2007

A very nice view of the beautiful golf course from the pation.\r The burgers are excellent and they're always playing great\r music from the speakers on the patio. Pros: Food and view Cons: Service could be better more

Best view in Town 7/15/2007

The Highlander Restaurant fits your year round needs for romance. Spring and Summer you can sit outside the Highlander and enjoy the spectacular view of the golf course on their comfortable and spacious deck. (You might even be privy to an outdoor wedding that is taking place! )In the Fall (year round as well) they have the out door fire pits going which will take off the Fall chill, still allowing you to enjoy the deck and view. Right now however, they are broken. In the winter you can enjoy the Highlander restaurant inside by the roaring fireplace. It's the best secret in town at a very reasonable price. more

Best Romantic Dining 7/15/2007

Highlander is always great. The food and service are first rate followed by the ambiance of arguably the best clubhouse in the twin cities, and the golf course views are spectacular. more

Restaurant of Choice 7/15/2007

This is a great place to eat. It has wonderful steaks and a brilliant atmosphere that can't be beaten. I really enjoy relaxing here after a long day. The patio view is something you won't forget anytime soon as well. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to all the people who like quality cuts of meat and a great place to eat. Pros: Steaks Cons: a little pricy more

Great food complimented by a great view 7/15/2007

The steaks at the Highlander are fantastic. The restaurant itself is beautiful, has a fantastic view, amazing patio and great service. All of the food is great, however my husband and I are partial to their fantastic steaks. The patio is the perfect place to have a cocktail and great food, watch nature at its finest and relax the day away. Pros: Patio, Atmosphere, Scenery more

Best dining destination in Maple Grove 7/15/2007

The Highlander Pub and Restaurant in Maple Grove has all the amenities. The food is spectacular. The steaks are always done to perfection and taste great. I also highly recommend the Blackened Shrimp Salad. It is loaded with 3/4 lb. of delicious, juicy shrimp. The service is excellent ,and the servers are always courteous and attend to customers' wishes. During the winter the inside is cozy with a fireplace and pub atmosphere. The real secret, though, is the outdoor terrace in the summer. The view is one of the best in the Twin Cities area, and the food quality and service remain the same. This restaurant is the best kept secret in Maple Grove dining. Pros: outdoor terrace, food choices, service, price value more
