My family just had a great spring break in Daytona Beach and we decided to rent a pontoon boat for the day from Highland Park. The whole day was great! The water way was absolutly amazing, wonderful wildlife, great experience. The whole staff at the fish camp was so helpful. They marked a map of the river and helped my family and I plan our trip for the day. They also showed us how to drive the pontoon boat. Cost of the boat, gas and everything for my family of 6 was about $150.00! Great deal I thought. Would do it again for sure! more

Highland Park Fish Camp was a wonderful experience for my family. We rented a pontoon boat for a day and the staff at the Fish Camp marked us a map and showed us how to go by boat to DeLeon Springs state park where we swam in the natural springs and had lunch at the sugar mill. It was so easy and relaxing. I would recommend renting a boat from Highland Park. Neat place and an awesome friendly staff! more

We thought this would be our favorite place until... We complained to the owners of the Highland Park Fish Camp about the boats flying out of their facility, one right after another, even though it is a NO WAKE AREA. We were told by the owners that they considered this law to be a unfair law and that the manatees could just get out of the way. So if you care about Florida's wildlife do not use this facility at all. Says alot for Captain Rawlins when bass fishermen spending money at his place is more important then the wildlife that was here first. We also found the same bass fishermen go at breakneck speeds all through the minimum wake area around Highland Park Fish Camp. It did not take long for us to see a young otter hit and killed by one of these macho fishermen. more
