Higher Power Electric

Have used them 3 times now and after these last 2 I have to say avoid them. They take longer than necessary on jobs and will charge you $60 every time they come out. On this last job I had them install an Ethernet line. It worked when they left then ~ 2 weeks later when installing my new computer to it (first time using the outlet after install) I couldn't get the plug into the outlet. I had to take the plate off and the ethernet connector was askew. After fixing and connecting...no internet. So I call to see about repair, sure we'll come look at it for $60 + whatever else we can charge. This is of course after 3 other calls, 1 with the owner, where we have set up the appointment, talked about possible issues and other things with no mention of a service fee. I'm sorry for a repeat, loyal customer to nickel and dime people like this when you just installed it is ridiculous. \r I will find a new electrician. more

Deciding on a house generator is a major decision. Higher Power Electric made my decision easy. I told Pat Payne what I needed and was never pressured to buy something I didn't need. Higher Power Electric was involved with replacing our electric panel and increasing the service from 100 amps to 200 amps so we can have extra power to install a new hot tub. The salesman was courteous and helped us decide if we should go to a 150 amp service or the 200 amp. The cost difference seemed to be minimal ($350) for the benefits the larger service provided. When our hot tub arrived and set in place, Higher Power Electric provided the electric to the tub and started the system up. The owner had a hot tub and was able to explain the controls and made sure I understood how to operate the hot tub. He even shared information about the chemicals to be used for the tub as well. I feel the price that was charged to be fair and I especially appreciated the courtesy of the electricians who did the work. The crew showed up on time and completed the work when they said it would be done. This is my first time using this company and I feel I would call them again for any future work. I was very comfortable with the owner and the time he spent explaining my needs for the work to be done. I was referred to Higher Power Electric from a friend who had work done by them last year. Overall I was very pleased with the work and help from them. Pros: Very professional and neat workmanship. Arrived on time. Very clean and courteous Cons: Can't think of any at this time more
