I have tried this place 3 times in order to give it a fair chance. Two of the times I had lattes and both times they were awful...the milk was burnt and the barista did not seem confident in making drinks. My husband had coffee and said it was awful. The third time I went I had an espresso malt...it was overly sweet and very runny...more like drinking chocolate milk than a shake. I wish this place was better so I could give a Fort Wayne chain my business! more

IPFW Location! 4/16/2006

Higher Grounds Coffee Stand at Indiana University Purdue University, Fort Wayne is only open during the height of school hours (Monday through Friday from about 9:00 until 3:00). They serve great coffee and have a selection of pastries, if you arrive early enough in the day. The staff is friendly and you can sit at the tables in the Engineering Building and take some time to read the paper. Parking is in the regular student lot. more

Hot Coffee! 4/16/2006

Higher Grounds Coffee Shop on St. Joe Center Road is a nice place to hang when you want a quiet place in the afternoon. They have comfortable couches and chairs. If you want a snack or dessert, they also have a selection of pastries. You can even eat from a real plate and silverware. No plastic plates here! I also like the fact you can get coffee in a ceramic mug and not a paper cup with a little bib! Lots of free parking. Evenings feature entertainment. Call for a schedule of events. more
