Not quite an old-fashioned candy store, but pretty darn close, Hidden Sweets offers bins of candies along with shelves filled with all your boxed favorites. But the candy is just the beginning here, and behind the sweets, you'll find tons of items ranging from buttons and gag gifts to lovely keepsakes and gorgeous gift wrap. There are also Boston, Red Sox, and Harvard t-shirts, and other Boston-themed trinkets, so this is also the perfect place to pick up a local memento. more

The most fun little store 10/16/2005

This store is tucked away in Harvard Square and is a place you really must visit if you are spending an afternoon shopping in the area. When you enter the store, you feel overwhelmed by all the goodies that seem to be stuffed in every little nook and cranny from floor to ceiling!! They have all types of really original gifts as well. They were willing to work with me when I stopped in and wanted to buy 50 of the same post card for the baskets we were creating for out of town guests at our wedding. They helped me by determining a lower price that was really reasonable. It is really a treat to walk out of the store with a little bag filled with your personal selection of candy - YUM! Enjoy! more

Where else can you buy pasta shaped like Errrrrrr.... 9/19/2005

Hidden Sweets is a fun store with lots of candy, cards, souvenirs and gag gift items. Be very careful when buying candy from the bins, that little bag of candy gets very expensive very quickly! The card selection is quite good and cheaper than Bob Slate for boxes of cards such as thank you notes. This is a great place for tourists to stop, not so great for the locals. more

All in one store 8/15/2005

This is the most unique store I have ever seen. Judging by the name of the store, I thought they only sold sweets but I was surprised to find that aside from selling a variety of candies and chocolates, they also sell greeting cards as well as Boston and Harvard souvenirs such as T-shirts, caps, key chains, and many more. The store attendants are also very friendly, which makes me want to patronize this store even more. I really recommend this store, especially for people from out of town. Recommended. more
