Horrid support staff and marginal Dr's 8/2/2011

Have been a patient for a few years. No major medical issues just a couple of prescriptions and a visit every 6 months. They support staff thinks they are the customer and treated me as if I am doing then a favor. Constantly having to call them to have my prescription filled when the pharmacy tells me they will not return their calls. TMFM's own crappy answering system tells you to have the pharmacy to call. On one of my regular calls to them to find out why they did not call the pharmacy back they tell me that Bulkacz left the practice. I asked about why I was not notified......there response 'I dunno'. Just like there are bad auto garages, insurance companies, etc there are bad medical practices. A monkey can see patients after patient for colds, the flu, a rash, he'll I can do that. Dr's need to get off of ther wholly are thou attitude. more

Dr. Hickman-the weed in the medical garden. 5/7/2010

I LOVE TMFM except for Doctor Hickman! He was rude to myself and my child. His bedside manner was horrible. We felt like he just wanted to get rid of us since the moment he sat down. We will refuse to see him ever again! Pros: my regualr doctor Zara Frankel and everyone else is AWESOME! Cons: Dr. Hickman more

an honest compassionate PA 2/15/2010

Maybe you could help other professionals in that office understand bedside manners and compassion when a patient is sick. We do not come to a doctor's office for manicures or a new hairdo.\r Sue, you rock! Pros: listens to the patient and understands Cons: not always available more

when medicine becomes just another number 2/15/2010

After 35 years of going to Table Mesa Family Medicine, when it was just in its infancy, now in the year2010, I find myself and my 6 family members treated as the lowest form of life in this office. \r Starting with the administration, down to the most obese nurse, we are being processed like cattle and the tests done on us are multiplied, to beef up their income.\r There used to be a heart and a soul when DR. Hickman noticed and treated his patients. Besides, Sue Griffith and Dr. Burton, Dr. Beasley and Louise at the front desk, the rest of the staff really bites! \r They give the wrong diagnoses, they give you the wrong meds, they terrorize a patient with erroneous and alarming results that prove to be negative, but no one calls to let the patient(s) know. \r The lab tests are forgotten, you are made to wait forever in a stuffy, dirty little office, seen for 5 minutes and shoved heartlessly out the door.\r The bedside manner is a thing of the past and their demeanor is that of “why do you bother me, just give me the money and go away”. No smiles or well wishes given without additional charges!\r If you dare, as a patient voice your concerns or the fact that you know your body better and you need certain meds that your body will respond to, you are being ignored and/or put in your place. I believe they want to be treated as GODS! They are wrathful Gods!, especially if you are a few minutes late when you are deathly sick and had to vomit in the parking lot! The fat nurse will let you have it or the underlings will chastise you for good measure. But remember, you still have to pay the bill after the humiliation is complete.\r After 35 years of loyalty to them, I must sadly say goodbye and find human doctors and not robots that gobble up my income in a single day. \r I no longer recommend TABLE MESA FAMILY MEDICINE to anyone and to all my friends and quittances, I am so sorry you got involved with them. \r Pros: if sick, try witch doctors instead Cons: if that doesn't work, try illegal drugs more

Top notch primary care 1/11/2010

In the 30+ years I have lived in Boulder, I have always seen the doctors in this office for my primary care. Obviously my Primary Care Physician is there, but I have dealt with four others over the years. The medical treatment, counsel and referrals are always professionally done. The front office has never been short or disrespectful, no matter how busy they have been. My employer offers health care plans that costs me less annually, but does not include these doctors in its network. I'm sticking with the people who have shown they care. more

Excellent primary care provider 12/9/2009

I've been going to TMFM for over 10 years, and I've seen four different doctors and multiple PAs and RNs there. I've always found them to be willing to answer questions (and I usually ask a lot of them). They've been helpful, on time, and professional.\r \r I highly recommend TMFM.\r \r Sorry to hear about one person's bad experience in the review down below. I do agree with that person that Dr. Burton is an outstanding physician. There are several other excellent doctors in the practice as well.\r \r more

I think they rock 8/18/2009

I was just looking up the number and found this bad review. I HATE doctors. I went 15 years without a doctor I hate them so much. An injury forced me to find a doc. I've seen Zara Frankel and Carol Holdcroft and would highly recommend them! They really take the time to listen and they are also sensitive to patient cost (let them know it matters). It's easy to get an appointment & they are part of the BCH system. Pros: Doctors take their time & care Cons: ? more

I like this place 9/25/2008

I just felt the need to offset the other post. I have never had any troubles here. I see Carol Holdcroft and think she's great. She takes time to listen and talk to me, and I've always been treated with respect by the receptionists. Maybe this is because I respect them and their time also. They have a lot going on in a small office. Kudos to them and the doc's, np's, ma's, etc. Oh yeah, and they have the best lab person there. This woman can do draws painlessly like no one else! Pros: good service Cons: parking can be a pain more

Worst doctors office ever!!! NEVER go here!!!!!! 9/4/2008

I have had the absolute worst experiences here. The doctors do not act as if they care about their pateints. Once, I had to wait over an hour to get a shot. NEVER ONCE have I called the office and been treated with respect by the receptionists. Once, thet woman, literally told me that the world did not revolve around me and that I was not her only patient. I feel uncomfortable with these doctors and have nothing positive to say about them. My parents started going there years ago, but after being loyal patients for 16 years, the office has been unfriendly- blunt, rude, and unhelpful. If you do decide to attend this practice, however, I would recommend seeing Dr. Burton. That is if the receptionists will take the time to get you an appointment. more
