1. My regular hair stylist was on vacation, and I desperately needed a cut. I decided to go to High Tech to check it out and boy was I disappointed. The girl who cut my hair did a horrible job. I was a walk in so she didn't have time to blow dry. Later after it dried I noticed it was horribly uneven.
2. I decided to go back to the salon a few weeks later and have my cut fixed and highlighted. The stylist remarked on how horrible the cut was, and how the girl who had cut it was new and they should have a talk with her. She just evened up the cut, but charged $45! I thought that was outrageous, because they messed it up in the first place, and she hardly cut my hair! I wouldn't even say it came close to a trim! She spent a total of 5 minutes on it. Then, the highlights. I said subtle, and natural looking, which apparently translates into bright red & unnatural looking.
3. Holy Cow. What do I do? The next week I called the salon, said I wasn't happy with the results and would like to pay to have it fixed. Apparently this woman doesn't listen to a word I say, I again repeated that I wanted something subtle and natural and that the red made me uncomfortable. I walked out there with even worse results. They were just a deeper brighter red. I was speechless.
All in all, within 10 minutes of being home from High Tech I went straight to CVS, bought box dye and returned my hair to its original color. $220 down the drain. High Tech has the prices of an upscale salon, but lacks the atmosphere and expertise.
