EDIT: Worst haircut ever. I wake up every morning and and again frustrated at the lack of quality job. Counting down the days until I am able to see my stylist back home. Let me start by saying everyone at this salon is friendly, nice, and professional. Very accommodating with walk-ins. I came here based on reviews and recommendations. However, I am completely dissatisfied with my haircut. It is choppy, uneven, and not at all what I asked for or close to the picture I brought in. because of the choppy 'layers' i have to pull it back into a half ponytail to hide the unevenness. Amy G. was my stylist. I will not be going to back. Too bad. I had high hopes. more

I just moved to the area and went to hi gorgeous salon in middtown. I got a haircut and my color i messed up corrected by sierra and it looks awesome. I have really thick hair and can never get it to lay right. Sierra hooked my cut up and thinned my hair out a little and it looks great.She also correted the color i had messed up which was yellow and orange because i tried to bleach it myself. I havn't had such an awesome hair cut and color in years. I greatly recommend to see sierra with whatever hair need you have. Pros: Best salon in memphis by far! more

I had my hair cut and colored at hi gorgeous by sierra and she did an amazing job. she was very upbeat and smart with her technique. She is very good and new trendy hair cuts. She Specializes in short cuts which is hard to find. She totally redid my look and made me have better self esteem. Everyone at hi gorgeous is very nice and friendly. And to top it off everyone that is a new client at hi gorgeous gets half off a haircut. I greatly recommend sierra to update your look no matter what hair type you have. Yesterday in a tight agenda, I managed to be able to make my hair appointment (first time) at Hi Gorgous. My stylist name was David, in which I could choose no other simply because of his past reviews. As a witness to his MARVELOUS creations I now have proof, he can make you feel like your walking on the RED CARPET when you leave his chair. Before my work day even got started with only minutes on the clock, you would have thought I was on the news; how everyone was OOO-ing and AHH-ing my hair. I cant wait to my fiance gets home this weekend, Im sure I will be the one saying OOO and AHH. Thank you soooo much David, although I will be relocating this weekend, If nothing more to get my hair done. I will be back in Memphis. Hi Gorgeous is hands down, the best brazilian I've gotten in Memphis. The prices for waxing are a little high, but comparable for the city. Amy is the best, and she only uses hard wax, so NO bruising, seriously, very minimal pain involved. She is relaxed and makes you feel comfortable. I would recommend this salon to anyone. I've only gone for waxing, so I can't really comment on their other services, but it's clean, nice, and my new favorite place. Pros: great waxing services Cons: none I've encountered so far more

I found this salon on City Search, I printed out the 1/2 off coupon. I had a great hair cut by David he talked to me and understood all my want's. I really don't like to do to much with my hair..he did a great job. I was in the state of shock, This place was so up beat clean and I felt like I was in another city the man at the front was so nice, David did a great job. The male stylist at the front was doing an unusual perm on a beauty queen and in walks Miss Tennessee and all this for $22.50. I drove an hour and a half to visit this salon and was pleasantly pleased. David did an excellent job with my highlights. He was able to highlight very close to my scalp. He listened to what I had to say and explained all his prices up front. Although I didn't know exactly what color to choose for my base color, David was able to point me in the right direction. The cut was fabulous, too! My only vice is that it took 4 hours to do my hair and my fiance had to wait on me (poor guy)! Pros: stylist listened and was patient Cons: took a while to do my hair more

Being a bit nervous at first - after all this was my first brazilian wax - my fears and worries were put to rest once I met Christiana. She is such a hoot! I found her to be funny and she has a great energy/spirit about her. She immediately put me at ease - because she is very good at what she does and she enjoys it. I have long hair and usually just have it trimmed at whatever place is on the corner, but this is a place that offers a real cut for a reasonable price! the place is nice. quiet, and put together in a way to make it feel like a salon. go to the top of the page and you can link to their website, which shows all of their services and prices up front--plus half off for 1st timers. It's worth it for them because you will be hooked. I feel so much better with hair that I don't have to stick in a pony tail and everyone says that it's a great cut. Yeah! Hi Gorgeous definitely lived up to it's 9.7 rating and more. My stylist of 10+ years went AWOL and I was stuck adrift for a year with a head full of long, naturally curly hair afraid to let another soul touch it. It takes someone special to truly understand and know how to cut/style naturally curly hair properly. I've had some horrible cuts when I was in a bind and let a stranger cut/style it.\r \r It had been a year+ since I had had my hair cut and was at my wits end. I had reached that point of being willing to trust it with someone new just for the sake of getting the dead ends off of it. Ladies I went to see David, referred by a close friend and I'm so glad I did. He did things to my hair that has changed my husband to a freak in a good way. Who knew that red made me even hotter. We change my blonde hair to red with a few blonde special effect as he call them, then cut the hair to match the color. Ladies these people at this salon know what they are tell you, so go and find your new husband attitude. I f they tell you to cut it do it, if it needs color do it . They make your life simple, we have enough things to do beside our hair, but it does help to control the husband if your looking for they to help around the house. I got an appointment with the owner Larry my friend Cindy got me in to see Larry. THANK you Larry and Cindy. I have lived in Memphis for four years and have tried to get stylist to understand what I wanted. I found MY new Hairstylist!!!! The salon looks like what you see in the movies it's GORGEOUS (lol) and so is my hair. Everyone was so nice and the price is almost half of the cost of the three other salons that I have tried.
