It feels odd writing a review after experiencing the loss of our beloved father Luis C. but there was no way that I would miss the opportunity to write about how pleased we were with Anthony and the staff at Hess Miller Funeral Home. My family did not know the first thing about funerals since we were at such a loss but Anthony made things easy and worked with us to give my father the ceremony he deserved. No detail was too small for Anthony and his staff. He went over the checklist of what we should take care of and helped with mass cards, etc. It is easy to say that at Hess Miller your loved ones will be cherished, respected like it was a family of their own. My family has always used Anthony and his staff throughout the years for our loved ones. My husband & I recently had to suffer the worst nightmare any parent should ever have to deal with--Our son, Freddie was struck and killed by an 18 wheeler , while waiting to cross on Fresh Pond Road,on Aug 2, 2010.He died 3 days before his 13th birthday. He was our baby, and I lost any control of life at this point. Couldnt think about anything but the loss of our beautiful baby boy.. We called Anthony and he handled it all with us. He took us under his wing, guided us through the most painful time of our life, and took over where we fell apart. My sons' viewing was overwhelming and big, over 1300 people. We had many, many people pay their respects from all over . Calls to the funeral home were nonstop, and yet Anthony & his staff were very gracious to all.Thanks to Anthony, we were able to set up a St.Jude Donation Fund instead of many flowers, which my family loved, because our son was so involved with the cause growing up.\r \r If you want someone who will treat you & your loved ones like family, or if you need services to be done the best way, you have Hess Miller who are a neighborhood legend. The rooms are so airy and beautiful. The bathroom is on the same floor, which for many of my family , who are up in age, it was such a great added feature. The staff is there to help in any way, whether it is for you or your visitors.They treat you the way you need to be treated. Anthony & his staff will be there from beginning to end, answer every and any question. The selection of everything was beautiful, and I think they are very reasonable in price. I would recommend them with all my heart. We could have not gotten through the worse time in our lives without all the help & support of Hess Miller Funeral Home. more

This Funeral Home Is ABSOLUTELY THE BEST WHEN IT COMES TO SOMETHING THAT\r IS SO DIFFICULT TO ARRANGE. THE OWNERS\r ANTHONY AND JOSEPH MARTINO ARE A FATHER\r AND SON TEAM WHO REALLY CARE ABOUT FAMILIES IN A TIME OF LOSS AND HURT. OUT\r OF ALL THE OTHER FUNERAL HOMES OUT THERE, THEY GIVE WONDERFUL SERVICE\r AND AT A VERY FAIR PRICE. this funeral home is people person oriented . The rooms are nicely decorated in pastels and they are roomy , the place looks more like a home then a funernal parlor. There is additional parking in their parking lot across from the business. They take care of your need in the worst of times. The owner does give back to communtiy by providing some childrenl scholarships to certain catholic elementary schools. more

It is always hard to deal with death and none of us wants to think about it. However, when it happens there are people to deal with...Hess Miller Funeral Home. Unfortunately, for me, I have had the need to use his funeral home more often than I would like to, but I have to admit that Anthony Martino and his staff are the BEST. His prices are reasonable, the staff is sincere, and the selections are top notch. If you are too distraught to take the time to pick things out, believe in Anthony because his team will make sure your recently departed loved one is comfortable and well presented at his/her funeral and your family's bank account is not depleted. Most important, Anthony takes EVERYTHING into consideration and works with you as an individual, not just another client who has lost a loved one. I recommend them VERY HIGHLY.
