Hertz Rent A Car

Dishonest! We rented a car for less than one day and checked-in online. We still had to go through the whole check-in process again at the counter, which defeated the purpose of that. We declined insurance online and never said we wanted it when we re-checked in at the counter. We were never told the total price before getting in the car but weren't concerned since I had checked-in online with the price we were supposed to pay. \r \r When we returned the car, our bill that was supposed to be $15 was $45. We were charged for the insurance even though we had specifically declined it online and never agreed to it on location. The woman to whom we returned the car was not authorized to remove the charge, and we were told that Hertz would contact us. They never did. We are now disputing the charge through our credit card company and facing problems. Of course Hertz was not responsive to us but to our credit card company. Do not rent from this Hertz if you dislike being charged extra money dishonestly! more

My mistake but I rented a Car at the Richmond, VA airport from Hertz. I told them I did not want insurance since the company I work for has a contract with Hertz. The agent tried to get me to rent a more expensive vehicle but I didn't want it. I actually wanted a smaller car then I was booked for. Well, I was charged for insurance and I got a compact car for the price of a midsize. \r Next time I don't care how many people are in line, I am going to read the contract better. My costly mistake. I have notified my company to change rental agencies and try a more honest company if there is one. Pros: Got a car Cons: Paid for larger car, got one without cruise or any options. more
