Meticulously maintained, the Hershey gardens are absolutely beautiful. They have a wonderful rose garden that blooms in the summer and very nice theme gardens, including an innovative children's garden that just recently opened. Another unique feature to the Hershey Gardens is the butterfly house. It is made from an old greenhouse and outfitted to teach about life cycles and species of butterflies. A good volunteer base helps maintain this attraction. more

The Rose Garden the best in the world! Think the kids will be bored? NO way check out the butterfly house, where butterflys will land on your shoulder and kids can touch and learn through hands on displays and there is a kids gardens. Cost is minimal. Large path ways that are paved. Small gift shop. Easy to avoid for kids and begging. more

Great Place for the Gardener In All Of Us 8/7/2005

If you have a green thumb or like me wished that you had one this is a spectacular place to visit. There is over 23 acres of themed gardens including over 7,000 roses located here. There is also the Butterfly House and a Children's Garden which youngsters will love walking through. There is a small fee to enter but it is money well spent. more

The Beautiful Hershey Gardens 8/4/2005

If you have never been, take some time to visit Hershey Gardens. Only open the end of March - October, the 23 acre gardens are spectacular and immacuately maintained. Admission is $7 for adults, $6.50 for seniors, $4 for children and under 2 are free. There's also a butterfly house that both adults and children find fascinating. They recently added a children's garden that contains 30 themed gardens with whimsical characters. more
