Raphael is a 'hair artist' with a great skill in colouring, highlighting, cut and shape (both for men and women). He turned my ultra thick and frizzy Middleastern hair instantly into a beautiful, soft and shapely hair. I get complements from friends all the time. His salon is sophisticated and tranquil with tasteful Asian furnishings, soft and relaxing music in the background, and his own artwork on the walls. Having never had my haircut by Raphael, I was hesitant to go to him. He was referred by a friend and as soon as I walked into his studio, I felt relaxed and at ease. He cut my hair just the way I wanted it and encouraged me to not go too short on my bangs! Raphael's salon is an oasis in the heart of bustling downtown SF. It's a very peaceful and relaxing setting, with great light, artwork, and traquil music. He is very knowledgeable about hair: the best styles for your face and hair type, color options, hair and scalp health, etc. I have been going to Raphael for years and always get compliments on my stylish hair.
