This place is a pit.
My wife and I moved in last November, and it seemed fairly nice for a couple of newlyweds. We lived in a building in the back, behind the wetlands. For about a month it was quiet and peaceful. We had maintenance issues, (dryrot outside, mold inside that they had no solution for) but it was ok.
That first month was misleading. Here's what we've had to deal with in the last year. Keep in mind I'm not a killjoy, and don't mind at all if people have fun, active social lives.
-Urinating on our doorstep.
-Tenants smoking dope on their porch, making the whole complex reek of weed.
-Vomiting all over the complex, stairs, walkways, etc.
-Loud screaming fights at all hours
-Threatening, visibly inebriated people just hanging out in the wee hours of the morning.
-Screaming obscenities and banging on doors at 3:00 AM
Would you want to live like this? It doesn't feel safe, it doesn't feel private, it doesn't feel like a home. There is a REASON the cops know exactly where this place is, and patrol here regularly. It's a hellhole, the buildings are just going to get worse, and they obviously don't screen their tenants in any way.
I was tired of living here already. Heronfield raising their rates 10-25% (depending on lease length) just solidifies our position. I'll buy a house, thank you very much.
DO NOT BE FOOLED, STAY VERY, VERY FAR AWAY.
