My family visited the Hermannhof Winery/Sausage Shop during Oktoberfest. I would highly suggest visiting Hermann and this shop during the festival, as the crowds and live music really add to the town. Hermannhof has plenty of outdoor seating for the festival, and you can sample traditional Oktoberfest foods while trying out a glass or a bottle of their signature wine. None of the wine really stood out to us, but the polka band combined with the atmosphere and food/wine made for a great afternoon. Their shop is quite large though, so I would suggest stopping here before driving up to Stonehill Winery.
