ive been a renter for 10 years and i have never felt so wronged in my life! i was harrassed my debbie (property management owner) shes called and harrassed about who was living there with no aparent reason why she was asking. shes made false claims of us throwing out a mini fridge loaded with beer. (i dont own a mini fridge) and when I told her that I was looking outside to see if I even see anything close to a fridge out on the streets she quickly says 'oh your at home, wrong person then' and hangs up.shes asked if i was using the condo for babysitting purposes, even tho I've told her multiple times its just me my husband and daughter. everytime shes harrassed us i would clarify things with her, but she would jus make up another reason to harrass us again.me and my husband work full time 5-6 days a week, and have a 5 year old daughter, were lucky if we get to do anything in this condo other than sleep! were always busy!10 months living there and we decide to throw alittle something for my daughter because she finished preschool. we rented a jumper for her and her friends to play in for a few hours. a neighbor 4 condos down from us complained because she didnt like that we rented a jumper and that we should of cleared it with her first. (im sorry but shes a tenant just like me, no one special) I don't understand why she was upset. The jumper was no where near her nor was it blocking her view of the lake. I figure she's jus a grumpy old lady who doesn't like us becuase were Asian! I mean why else would she say anything, we live all around upon college students who party 5 days a week from dusk til dawn! And obviously no one is complaining about them since they keep on doing it. will, turns out that lady debbies friend (property manager) and an hour later i see debbie coming out of that ladies condo pointing at us! 5 min. Later debbie is knocking at my door and says shes not there on behalf of her friend but that she is concerned that the jumper isa liabiliy! i was very upset that debbie was being very unprofessional coming over 8pm on her friends behalf but claims it wasnt. i left her 5 messages, she never returned my calls. when i finally got ahold of her she claims everything was fine between us and that her friend is just a complainer. she also informed me that she was planning on evicting all the college students because she wanted to rent to older folks and working class people. I told her this has nothing to do with the college students! The problem was that I had 1 event that started at 6 and ended at 9:30 and of all things a child's party,and 1 complaint from her personal friend and shes knocking at my door. But I don't see her coming over when these white college students party every day til 5 in the morning. my husband told me to let it go and forget about the whole ordeal since we only had 2 more months til our lease was up, then we would run far away as fast as possible! a week later we get a 'termination of tenancy' (eviction notice) from heritage! my husband called to see what this was about and they told us the neighbor (debbies friend) complained saying she heard foul language coming from my place! we told them that they need to stop mixing us up with the college students who have friends over all then time.(we live right in the middle, so college students from our right and left) but they didnt care. They said when a tenant complains they have to do something about it. I'm sorry but if you've never heard a peep from us, how could you just kick us out like that.i have never felt so wronged! i hope no one ever has to go thru what i went thru ever! so be aware! Racist people at that property management!
