This was my first experience with HPM and will be my last. Firstly, the office, there is no one to greet you when you walk in, nor does anyone make an effort to get to you to help you. Secondly, the ""woman"" who eventually gets off her ass to help you has a horrible appearance. She dresses very unprofessionally, her hair looks unwashed and unbrushed. She mumbles in a low voice and seems to stare at the words coming out of her mouth, never making eye contact. She can't even answer a question directly and the only response I seem to get when I ask her a question is, ""Well the person who handles that isn't here so leave a number and she'll get back to you"". I've never gotten a call back and why is she there when she can't answer any questions? Even the simplest of questions she couldn't answer.
I rented a place from them and 2 weeks in, I decided I would use my dishwasher. It didn't drain any water and pretty much just put more dirt on my dishes. I called to let them know and they were so rude about things, implying that I didn't know how to use a dishwasher and that I had to empty out the garbage disposal, which was empty. They never sent anyone to fix it so I left it there with all the dirty water. I hated the place and hated the company so I put in my 30 day notice which they were very rude about. Completely unprofessional.
After moving out and returning my key, I waited for their call to do the final walk through, which I never received. I called after 2 weeks and I got the ""She's not in"" response and waited a few days. I called again the next week, same response. Now, hopefully we are all aware that upon your move-out date, your landlord has 21 days to return your deposit to you. I called once again on the 20th day and this was my conversation:
Me: Hi, my name is Karen and I'm calling about the deposit on blank blank
Her: The lady who handles that isn't in the office at the moment. Give me your number and I'll have her call you back. Whats your name again?
Me: Says my name and phone number
Her: (saying ever so rudely) By the way, just so you know, we have 21 days to get your deposit back to you
Me: (saying twice as rudely) Yes, I'm aware and tomorrow will be the 21st day, so have my money by then ok.
Her: (stupidly) Oh.. Well then she must already have it ready to go for you.
The next day, I go in to pick up my check and Lenore makes a big deal about me not calling before coming in to pick it up. Some crap about how they weren't gonna be in the office. I did come during office hours so it shouldn't be a problem. She says she left a voicemail on my husband's phone. I'm like look, I'm here, you're here, you called his phone not mine, it doesn't matter. She says well you're lucky I was here when you came in. I'm like yeah thank you.
Honestly, I understand that I was a bad client for leaving the residence after a month and a half, but I followed all regulations and left the place cleaner than when I moved in. But this company is purely unprofessional and just plain ghetto. I will never rent from this company ever again no matter the deal on the property. They were just rude and unhelpful from A to Z. I highly suggest you find a different company to go through or rent from a private owner.
