love it and miss it 4/17/2006

Herbert's was truly my favorite Mexican food restaurant in San Marcos. It's family run - my water glass was often brought to me or filled by someone who couldn't have been over the age of 10. The dishes are generous in size and very good. Also, they have a vegetarian section in their menu which is unusual for a Mexican food restaurant in a smallish town in Texas. Defnitely try this if you're in the area. more

Excellent Mexican Restaurant! 4/13/2006

My husband, daughter & I love to go eat here every once in awhile when we feel like eating good Mexican food. They are so delicious & very tasty.They are also very reasonable in prices. The only bad thing about the place is that it isnt very big & it gets very packed & busy on weekends. They need to make their place bigger by adding more to their restaurant. Wow the food is so good & it fills us up too. I recommend this place to anyone & also two thumbs up!! more
