My husband and I are empty-nesters. We enjoy traveling and fine dining experiences. Imagine what a delight when we came across the newly opened restaurant in Bloomington, IN by the name of “Sweet Grass” on Patterson Avenue. We consider service as important as taste when dining out. At Sweet Grass the service was as great as the Citrus Glazed Salmond and Brined Roast Pork Tenderloin. There are absolutely no MIA services at Sweet Grass. The chefs Luke and Garrett even visited our table to inquire about the food and service. After a little Q&A my husband and I learned that they were both formally trained on the east coast (Our favorite kind of food). We were most impressed with the combination of complimentary flavors with such things as the “watermelon salad,” which included of course watermelon, but to our delight goat cheese, arugula and a unique house made focaccia. Kudos to Monroe County for having such wonderful restaurants. Can’t wait to take our children and grandchildren back to Sweet Grass on a Sunday for Fried Green Tomatoes! Sincerely, Terri and John Grumieaux Vincennes, IN.
