Hen's Nest Mineola Country Str

I am black man and me and my wife shop at the Hen's Nest whenever we head that way. We have never been treated any diffrent than white. Sad to say that some black folk still acting fool and right away say "" they treated me bad cause I am black."" No they treated you bad cause you acted a fool.Even though I know those ladies are very nice and I cannot see them being that way unless as I say you acted a fool in the store.The HensNest store is low priced, we have found things in there cheaper than than the dollar store, Dish towels 65 cents.Christmas figurines 50 cent.We also find great old things too.You loose by not going to shop there, but me and my wife will keep going and savng and finding great things in this store. Reply: Since you took the time to reply to me- let me reply to you. First off, I think I know my own race. I am not hispanic and if you remember me then you remember incorrectly. And the fact that you jump to my race first only shows what prejudiced old fools you are. Secondly, if you haven't noticed I am not your only bad review- there are several others out there from people that have nothing to do with me so perhaps you need to eat humble pie and realize your shop is a tiny overpriced china import store with rude old ladies for staff. Get over yourselves. Third, you are insane with your reply- or perhaps your memory since you claim to remember who I am but what you wrote is completely a lie to make your shop look good. The blog I work for has sent other mystery shoppers to your shop and ALL of them have had bad experiences as your staff is rude and in every situation completely ignored your non-white customers. For those you defend this store- I would bet your white because this store is completely stuck on race. As for me- reply away as your replies just show what spiteful ignorant old biddies you are. Realistically, besides your horrible staff- your shop doesn't really have true antiques. I have been dealing antiques with my family from an early age and your description of your wares is plain false advertisement and shows how little you know of the difference between a mason jar and a ball jar or a true Hoosier and a plain hutch- you had a tag describing something as blue and white willow ware that was actually Lennox contemporary china. Anyone who shops here is not getting what they pay for. more

Lets make some thing CLEAR. I don't like being treated like I am some low life because I don't Look the same way as you do. The owner and there staff are just point blank prejudice!!! I am not the first to say it check the web and reviews of what people have said. She made me feel like I was some sub human. That's not right and that's my point. May be you have never experienced that before but there things that shack you to the very soul! people think they can just get away with it!!! I will never forget how I was treated!!! more

Love this shop, I have been going there for approximately 13 years and always find some great items and gifts. Have to say I don't think I ever walk out empty handed. Really has that downhome feelng, nice helpful gals that are willing to help you find what you are looking for. Have to admit you need time to look around as there are many great things. Great prices on the furniture!! Make sure to look up at the many lovely light fixtures for sale, I found a beauty that would have cost me a pretty penny elswhere. Always changing as there are multiple vendors. I love places like this!!!!! Go check it out!!! more

Your wife doesn't have a clue what she is talking about, that pie safe was very very old. I am a regular almost daily customer and I know what pie safe your refering to. I have been dealing with Antique furniture for years and I know Antiques and that was a Anyique Pie Safe..She must just be hard to please.Next for the so called ""Black woman"" Rachel D who looked Spanish. funny you didn't look black when you came in that day ,after seeing your photo here on city search of your boy, I just realized you were the lady who's husband was beating that boy ((shown in your photo) (and I mean beating ) him in the parking lot and the lady came to tell you that your Husband was beating your son and that you may want to go outside to stop him before he would be arrested and your son would be hurt and you jumped all over her. You Even called her Fat and I have to say you had your nerve as you were double her size..I pray your son will never get beaten that way again. I also heard you tell the ladies at the Hen's Nest that you were a blogger for Laura Ashly (and I am guessing that is false as well after reading the untruths about the Hens Nest on your blog ) you said would leave them a bad blog. Now last on the Feedbackof the lady Doctor T that came in with her son , that was aked to leave, you were ask to leave ,not due to our son but because you were ranting on your cell phone very loud about the store that they wouldn't lower the price on a item that you wanted and the owner did ask you to leave , she ""Lois"" never used a bad word as you stated , your telling a untrue story. (Like I said I am almost there daily ) and I guess I don't miss much.Oh by the way I saw you back in the store about 2 weeks ago. They didn't notice you but I did . I have a good memory and I was there for the 2 incedents and pie safe was Antique. For anyone out there if you never have been to the Hen's Nest in Minneola Fl, your missing out as they have approx 22 vendor consigners and yes they sell Antiques and the also sell modern new and used items but all tags are marked what they are. Yes They do have lots to look at but, I say the more thay have, the more goodies I find. I find the best treasures there and resell for big profits, time & time again. I almost hate to let you in on my treasure source, but I feel these 3 blogs are falsely misleading you the ladies there re friendly and helpful and the locals know what a great store it is.The Hens Nest must be doing somthing right as I believe they just celebrated 14 or 15 years of business. So you people in doubt that are on the fence on what was written so far just go and check them out, you too will be regulars and realize that some people like to make up stories just because they can ..... . more

My wife has been asking me for a pie safe for years. Her birth day was coming up. I walking in to the store and they said they had an authentic pie safe form the 20?s. I bought put the thing in the back of my truck hide it from my wife in the garage said it was gun rack and had it covered. I don?t know anything about this stuff I a man that likes to hunt drink and have fun with the guys. 2 Weeks later I rap the big thing give to my wife. She says it?s made out of particle board pressed wood. Looked old to me. I feel like a fool and I was told all sales are final. Louis told me it would make me the king for buy this for my wife. I am never going back there again. more

The Old ladies in this store are so RUDE be careful? I got yield at for taking my little boy with me. So OVER priced!!! Stay away they are so rude? I got told ?to get the bleep out of the store?
