I just wanted to say how frustrated and disappointed I am at how this attempt at purchasing the van has been. I will say I really appreciate how this all started. As I explained when we came in, my wife and I are rebuilding our credit after some unfortunate years and circumstances. Representatives said we could work something out. Well, we were shown a 2010 Honda Odyssey $21,499. Drove it and loved it. The Sales Rep even said we could take it home because we had just lost the transmission in our family car and I was going out of town for the remainder of the week. After signing the paperwork to take it home, I informed me that he had made a mistake and shown us the wrong van but assured us that other than the mileage, the vans were identical. He told us the van would be in on Tuesday and my wife could stop by and give you the deposit check, swap “identical” vehicles and drive it until I returned on Saturday. We also told you not to deposit the check until I returned and signed the paperwork. \r

The second van was no where near identical. It had a big dent, scratches, dirty interior and my wife called me on the way home crying. She said the steering wheel was shaking when she got on the highway and hit 60 mph. I spoke to the Sales Rep and he said he would come pick it up and have it checked out. The next day he did pick it up and swap her with the one she had originally been given. He later text her and told her “ adjustments had been made to the van and the van drove great.” He texted back later to inform her “ no adjustments had been made yet.” THEN HOW DID IT DRIVE GREAT?!?! I contacted him and told him that we DID NOT WANT THAT VAN. \r

He made a mistake when he showed us the wrong van and led us to believe that was the one. I am in sales and when there is a mistake then the right thing needs to be done. We should have been given the original van at a cheaper price. But they would not do that. \r

So, my wife went to Toyota Of Greenville and found a 2008 Toyota Sienna with 56K miles. Financed in her name alone, better interest rate, lower payments, NICER VAN. AND they fed my daughter lunch while they waited. She was so pleased with how she was treated and very pleased with the Toyota.\r

Next issue, I called this morning and spoke to Customer Service. I told him what had happened and that I would be returning the keys and paperwork back to Hendrick Honda and would like to pick up my check. He told me that it wouldn’t be a problem…….RIGHT! I come at lunch time return your things and am informed that you do not have my check. How can you deposit my check when I haven’t signed anything and your sales rep was told NOT TO DEPOSIT MY CHECK UNTIL I CAME BY SATURDAY! This is all insane and a horrible way to treat a customer. Not to mention you ran my credit 12 or 13 times! And you cannot give me A CHECK because I need to get confirmation that the check has cleared or proceed with a stop payment of the check. HORRIBLE! I cannot believe this is the way you will treat someone. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS WHOLE PROCESS WITH HENDRICK HONDA. If I could sent this to Mr. Hendrick himself, I WOULD.\r
Go to Toyota of Greenville, don't waste your time at the honda dealership!\r
