Hello Taxi

I had heard of Hello Taxi through a friend, and have seen the Scions around Brookline. It was the cleanest, well kept cab I've been in a while. He didn't overcharge me and didn't taking detours to rack of the bill. I had a few huge boxes I needed to take to the post office, and he helped me load and unload them without a grudge. I paid by CC to the main office, which I think is safer than handing any cabbie my card for an imprint. But I'd rather see a system in the cab overall. In short: I normally use Metro Cab, but in a bind, I call down the road to Hello Taxi on Western Avenue.\r \r 2 weeks ago I got a mid afternoon ride, up the road to a restaurant. Upon arrival, I offered a 20 dollar bill for the 7.50 charge, only to have the driver take it and say 'sorry, just got on my shift, no change on me.'\r \r I took the 20 back and told him he was sh*t outta luck, not my problem.\r \r Then last night (Metro Cab was busy), I call Hello taxi and had a POS dispatcher berate me for asking to use a credit card on a short trip. Hey pal, either you take them or you don't... save the editorials. \r \r A shame too, as some of the drivers are actually really nice guys and take tremendous pride it maintaining and cleaning their cars.\r \r Hello Taxi, while only having a bit of my business, has completely lost it, as well as all of my roommates.
