Helen’s dance studio is a great dance school that teaches girls and boys the art of dancing, self-confidence, and discipline. Miss. Helen is a great teacher that has taught my daughter to gracefully dance ballet, Armenian, and Tap. She is patient with the kids and really enjoys teaching them this talent. I would recommend this dance school to any parent. Being an alumni of Helens Dance Studio I wanted my daughter to experience all the good things this school offered such as concert involvements, competitions we attended, and most of all the lifetime friendships I created through this experience. I had a lot of choices when it came to picking a dance school but I choose Helens dance studio because I knew my daughter was in good hands with Miss. Helen. more

Back in March 2013 My Daughter Ella had just turned 2 years old. I decided to take her to ballet. I had no idea where to take her so I started to Google dance studios close to my house. I came across Helens Dance Studio. I called the studio and left a voice message. 30 minutes later I received a call back from Helen herself. She was very kind and wanted to see Ella so she can bond with her prior to taking her into the actual dance session. Let me tell you Ella fell in love with the place as well as Helen. The studio does everything they can to make the children feel like they are at home. They are very friendly and care about each and every child. I am so happy that I have found them because this will be the place that I will be taking Ella for a very long time. My Daughter looks forward for her dance sessions. Every morning she wakes up she asks me if its Saturday so that she can go to dance. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. more

I am a mother in her mid-30s, who spent most of her childhood and adolescent/teenage years inside Helen's Dance Studio. Ms. Helen is, by far, one of the most talented and dedicated dance instructors I have known. She has a gentle manner, allowing each student to learn at his or her own pace. Her knowledge of various forms of dance is vast, and she works tirelessly to make each student shine. Ms. Helen teaches dance and builds confidence in her students - I know this, firsthand. Her positive impact on my life has remained over the years...so much so, that, although I currently live quite a distance from the studio, I happily make the hour-long trek every week so that my daughter can experience what it's like to learn from the best. I have never been more pleased with a business. I have been involved with Helen's Dance Studio for 16 years now. I have stayed for the years that I have because I feel it is a great place and I have truly enjoyed every moment I have been there. The dance studio is clean, safe, and friendly environment. Helen's Dance Studio is completely professional and really is unique in the way they treat the students. When I was on the dance team at my high school, I won many trophies, ribbons and awards for technique, showmanship, and All American. I owe that to all the good habits and techniques I learned from my years at Helen's. \r \r Helen is a loving, patient, and dedicated dance teacher. She teaches many different styles of dance and really encourages the love of dance. Her choreography is beautiful and graceful. She has won numerous awards, competitions, and has participated in many community and charity events. I have been to many different dance shows and performances from around the area and their choreography is not even comparable to that of the teachers at Helen's\r \r She has been in business for many years and previous students of hers have brought their children to take classes with Helen because she is a reputable and trustworthy teacher, who treats all the students with love and respect. Students of hers have actually pursued dance as a career, which should say a lot about Helen's teaching. I would highly recommend Helen's Dance Studio and I can't wait until my cousin's daughter turns three so she can sign- up, go through the training and attend Helen's dance classes. more

My daughter has been a student of Helens Dance Studio for almost 3 years and she loves it! I love how professional and courteous Ms. Helen is. She has a no nonsense policy and it really shows.She does not nickle and dime you for everything and works with every person individually. My child learns discipline, team work and makes friends at this great establishment! I would recommend Helens Dance Studio to all the moms! They have a great tap class as well. more

Helen's Dance Studio is the most family oriented and optimistic studio around. I'm glad we don't have drama queens like Adela around anyway. I've always been fond of the intructors and never complained. Discipline is discipline. Some people think talent comes in a silver platter and you just have to pick it up.. they don't understand that the instructor is the one doing all the hard work. I've witnessed so many people like you, Adela. You make a scene and walk out like you and your daughter own the city.. but little by little you start crawling back because of experiences you have with other dance studios. I'm giving you my word, Helen's Dance Studio will dedicate their time and effort to take your daughter/son to the best of their abilities. If you can't handle a little discipline, you know where the door is. more

I have been attending Helen's Dance Studio for 14 years and I can honestly say that it is the best dance studio out there. Ms. Helen not only acts as a teacher to her students but as a mother as well. She cares deeply for all of her students and does everything in her power to accommodate each and every one of them. I have yet to see a dance teacher who sets such a friendly, nonjudgmental, and family oriented environment and it is certainly a plus on top of the amazing dance skills she offers to her students. I started coming to her studio when i was two and a half years old, and now I am just a few months shy of turning 18. I have learned so much from Mrs. Helen and had so many wonderful experiences going to competitions nationwide as well as performing in annual concerts and other performances. Mrs. Helen's instructions have greatly helped me and made me a well trained dancer. Thanks to her I got accepted on to the Varsity dance team at my school and have won trophies in group as well as solo dances all in first place and gold. I also got the position of being Co- Assistant Director of my high school's dance team, and choreographed several dances for the department at my school. Not only have I learned to dance but I acquired leadership skills as well as confidence. I have even gotten my first volunteer experience here where she let me come to other classes with her and help assist her classes. She has taught me how to be patient with children and how the most effective way of teaching them would be, and I always tell her how amazed I am by her unconditional patience with all of the children. If any parent has been to the studio and has had any complaints I honestly believe it is because they wanted their child to be the number one, if not only priority for the teacher and to always be the ""favorite"" of the class. Unfortunately for those parents they went to the wrong place because this studios soley opperates on the child's dancing ability and willingness to learn and be an active participant of the class. I have personally recommended at least 10 students to this studio including my younger cousins who started when they were three years old. They both took an immediate liking to the studio much like all the other children who start at the studio, and they are always impatiently waiting to go to class and learn all that Mrs. Helen has to offer. This studio is definitely a second home to me as well as many other students and I absolutely recommend this studio to any parent who wants their child to learn how to become a graceful dancer as well as creating long lasting friendships with others in their class. more

It's pretty pathetic how selfish some mothers can be. I don't know if you realize, Adela, but your daughter isn't the only student in the class. The instructor has been working in this profession for over 30 years and you're criticising how SHE runs HER class?! She spends an equal amount of time working with each student, trying to correct all their mistakes and help them understand the technique. If your daughter is slow, it truly seems like a personal problem. She didn't sign anywhere saying that she's going to babysit your daughter and hover over her, only, throughout the class until she's a perfect ballerina. I, myself, am a student at Helen's Dance Studio and I have been here since I was two years old. I am now 18 and never have I, OR MY MOTHER, complained about how she should run her class. If my mom didn't trust the long generations of ballerinas that have walked out of that studio, she wouldn't have trusted her with me. Let me mention, I have won over 10 first place awards in competitions nationwide REPRESENTING my amazing instructor and I wouldn't have gotten there if I nagged my way through. \r \r I'm sorry you have a rotten personality and think you can make your way up by lying and putting others down. As an eighteen year old I can say I'm twenty times more mature than you and understand that I'm not the only person on this planet. \r \r This studio isn't based on what you call ""favoritism."" It's based on what WE call ""talent.""\r \r Even if your daughter wasn't the most graceful ballerina in the class, I know for a fact that the instructor that I KNOW would never turn her down. She's absolutely encouraging, kind, and respectful towards every single student. I commend her for her patience with you because if I was her, I would've just kicked you out for your negative energy. \r \r Although I'm only 18 and obviously not a mother, I can still give you some good advice, Adela. Be a good role model for your daughter. The only thing you're teaching her is how to be selfish. You and I BOTH know that you're review was a waste of time. Grow up, it's about time. more

I disagree with the review for this studio. I've been taking my daughter here for about a year and my daughter's had nothing but good things to say about this place. She always leaves the studio with a smile on her face. I've taken her to try out a few different dance classes before coming here and she did not like them at all. Helen's Dance Studio is one of a kind in teaching, technique, and professionalism. \r \r I actually remember speaking to an Adela while waiting for my daughter to finish. I don't know if it's the same person that left the review, but her daughter was in the same class. She was upset because her daughter wasn't able to follow through with the technique the instructor was teaching the children. I don't blame her, but it wasn't because of the instructor, it actually had to do with her daughter being over weight. Anytime she would try to perform a move by jumping, she would knock over other students. She almost broke my daughter's ankle when she fell on her. more

The worse dance studio ever. The instructor has no patience with the children and tends to scold the children instead of teaching them how to correct the dance. This school is based on favoritism instead of equality among the children. I would not recommend this dance school for anyone's child. more
