Helderberg Exotic Cats

I brought two Balinese sisters into my life from this breeder, and they had tremendous health problems from the beginning. My Vet knew of this cattery's reputation for very sick kittens. But I loved them from the minute I met them, they were my children. I didn't care what their health problems where, it had nothing to do with the money paid for the kittens or for their health care. But, I SHOULD NOT HAVE HAD TO PUT THEM TO SLEEP AT 7 YEARS OLD because of the untreatable health issues they suffered with their entire short lives. No cat should have to suffer they way my girls did. more

For the price you pay, you would expect to have your feline friend for many, many years. Sadly, I lost my Balinese bought from them when he was only 8 years young. He suffered a thromboembolism, was in severe pain/distress, and lost all blood flow to the lower half of his body. It was the absolute worst experience in my life. I lost a huge piece of my heart that day. more

This operation needs to be shut down. Bought a kitten at a cat show from them this summer 2016 who had a respiratory infection, ear mites so bad she has a punctured eardrum and fleas that infested my house. My vet said she never saw a pedigreed cat in such bad shape. The despicable man who sold her told my daughter we were lucky to get her "dirt cheap" at $600. The vet bills for her and my other three cats who got ear mites from her and flea infestation treatment plus throwing away all the toys and cat beds along with all the bedding in my daughters room after she had explosive diarrhea brought that $600 over $1500. I cannot say enough bad things about this experience and the low life selling sick kittens. I have reported him to the facilitators of the cat show and the MSPCA and will keep going until he is run out of business. I left one star only because it can't be left empty. more

Please look for a more reputable bengal breeder. Even though Helderberg breeds beautiful cats, the cats are ALL sick with FCoV (feline coronavirus). Please be aware that FCoV can mutate into FIP, a fatal disease. This mutation can occur without notice at any time. Helderberg is VERY aware their cats are carriers, and has very recently lost several kittens living on the premise to FIP. I personally own a Helderberg cat, as do several of my friends. My cat has been lucky so far health wise... My friend's cats have not. I also have a 5 generation TICA pedigree for my cat. Lets just say her genetics dont vary a whole lot due to constantly breeding the same cats over and over. Very sad. There are far better breeders in the area. Please go through them. more

Mike and Svetlana are Rip off's. Their cats all have deadly diseases which they are well aware of. Yet they continue to sell wonderful; families these animals which are sick forever or die. Please look elsewhere to purchase your kittens.If you decide not to listen to the complaints on these web sites be prepared for heartbreak and pain. Plus thousands of dollars in vet bills. I have purchased 2 male siamese kittens over the past 10 years from these people and they have been the healthiest, best looking, and temperment you could find in a siamese from this area. I hope to do business again with them someday. I have never had a health issue with either of them, one who is now 10 years old and the other who is 8. May they live another 10+ years. more
