No matter how far I may travel, my first love in orchestra halls will always be Heinz Hall. I have fantastic memories from childhood of attending annual performances of The Nutcracker, seeing the enormous Christmas tree inside the lobby, and loving the majestic hall. I've seen bigger, more intimate, and more ornately decorated orchestra halls, but I have yet to find an equal to Heinz Hall. A true Pittsburgh landmark! more

Pittsburgh's Performing Arts Gem 2/22/2006

Beautiful chandeliers, Ornate red and gold carpeting, and tapestry, and much more await you as you enter into this majestic hall. It is home of the Pittsburgh Symphony, a renowned orchestra. We always try to get tickets for the balcony section, if possible. The acoustics are fantastic in this renovated music hall. Often some of the Broadway musical productions will showcase here as well as the Benedum Center for the performing arts. There are parking facilities just down the street. So no long walks are required. It is well worth the price of admission to hear one of the concerts or see one of the stage productions performed here. more

Stunning venue 12/27/2005

If you want to talk about a stunning venue for many musical performances, welcome to Heinz Hall. Heinz Hall is a world class venue decked out in gold and red. The acoustics here are wonderful and the seats are pretty good in the entire place. They have nice orchestral concerts year round and during the holidays, it is a very nice trip out for a date. more
