If a person wants to learn ballet or acrobatics, this is a great school. In all other areas of dance such as hip hop, jazz, or tapp the chances of getting into a good class is only if you are one of the ""Company dancers"". Pointe isn't really offered to many girls unless there a company dancer. All the attention goes to the company dancers. This school is good for a beginner's first year, but not for returning dancers because the chances of them being promoted to a different instruction level is slim and they will most likely not learn anything if they remain in the same class level for a couple of years. Plus, to be a ""company dancer"" one must take many many of their classes to be considered. The owner is also very snobby and only wants your money. more

Fabulous! We knew nothing about dance and my daughter had attended another studio for several years. We just lucked up on Heidi's studio and it is the best thing that ever happened to us! If you want organized, disciplined, brilliantly trained instructors who pass this same love for dance to your children...then you have found the place for your children to train. If it is their passion, then watch them bloom. The choreography is A+ and the structure is a must in order to be successful in anything...especially dance. You will be extremely pleased and amazed at the rapid advancement that your children will enjoy. Or at least this is our experience...hopefully you will have the same results. If there were 10 stars...we would give them 11!! My child never complains about going to dance. Instead she is sad when she has a day off. Love Love Love It! Heidi Knight School of Dance is the best experience that we have ever had in a dance studio. She is very professional and organized. The instruction is exceptional. The instructors are very good choreographers, and great with the kids. My child is expected to show perfection in every aspect of dance and acro and thrives on it. The kids who go there are all very well behaved and I love for my child to associate with all of them. I would highly recommend Heidi's over any other in North Alabama.
