Heavenly Ski Resort

this is the place we go skiing all the times. view is fantastic. service is perfect, even though it is always crowded. best time to go is on Wed. then you can totally enjoy the skiing without a bunch people around you. best deal is to a group seasonal pass, which cut the expensive ski cost to minimum more

I guess the guys who called this place Heavenly were right. Just the views will knock your socks off! This is such a beautiful place! When you are going up on the Gondola or one of the big ski lifts take a look back, just hold on so your open mouth doesnt drag you off the lift. I like the fact that when you get up on the mountain, the slopes are really long, it can take you half an hour until you get to your next ski lift. There are so many choice here, which is so nice so you dont have to keep skiing on the same terrain. Even though the place is really crowded there seems to be roomm for everyone and the lifts go pretty fast. Rentals are a big pain though! its take FOREVER! Also it will take you an hour to stand in line to get onto the Gondola at the end of the day! But the rest is wonderful. The Gondola is right accross the street from your hotel or inn. Lots of rental places around. Also, The instructors here are awesome! They really know their stuff. Some are from south africa, brazil, australia, austria. its really cool. The lift tickets are REALLY expensive more

If you'll be in the Lake Tahoe area, a must-do activity is ride the Gondola at Heavenly. You're transported to over 9,000 feet and you're able to get the best view of the blue water of Lake Tahoe with a backdrop of snowtop mountains and greenery of a golf course. It is the ultimate attraction that I enjoy each time I go there. My advice is to go during the month of may and take a panoramic camera and take a picture of the entire Lake Tahoe area. more

Heavenly is a wonderful ski resort located in South Lake Tahoe. It can get rather crowded, but there are tons of great slopes and lifts. Heavenly is pretty expensive too, it is one of the more expensive ski resorts, but still is one of the popular ones. I recommend it if you're not on a budget. more
