Great Cajun food 12/31/2006

If you like spicy food with a fun atmosphere, give Heaven on Seven a try. This Naperville outpost of the original in downtown is a popular location for down home gourmet food. We went for dinner, and were served up some huge portions of seafood, chicken, and beef. The selection of hot sauces were most impressive, and I couldn't stop eating the pickle chips served with the bread and butter. The service was adequate at best and sides were okay, but the entrees were fantastic. Definitely a fun and delicious night out! more

Average Food, Good Ambience 9/13/2005

Heaven on Seven is one of several in the Chicagoland area (I believe the original is in Downtown Chicago). The gumbo is excellent, but the rest of the food is average - lunch/dinner items are definitely better than breakfast. The restaurant is nicely decorated, and the wide array of hot sauces on the tables (and along an entire wall) allows the spice lover a chance to experiment. It gets crowded really quickly, so be sure to get there early. more

Great food 8/15/2005

If you like hot, spicy food, this is the place for you. The restaurant is a little crowded so get there early. The best dish I have tried is the Vodoo Chicken enchiladas. It is flavorful chicken topped with a jalapeno cream sauce served with orzo on the side. Don't forget to ask for the beads! more
