Heatherstone is excellent - a very clean AND friendly ""kennel.""\r Please note kennel: \r You will not see nor pay [extra] for a doggie suite or several daily walks - heatherstone does not 'have' these...\r My dog is a great companion for our whole family - even the kids but he is a dog. \r Although I've only been going to 'em for a few yrs/approx. 8 times - the exemplary staff @ this decades old family run biz have repeatedly expressed their love for everyone's pets and pride towards their industry in subtle & genuine ways.\r My doxie's body language [at pick-up] says a lot too!\r I always appreciate a fellow small biz that does it right!! more

We have never boarded our dogs here but they do a great job grooming. Our dogs love getting there do's done at Heatherstone. I happily recommend them. more

This kennel is family owned and operated and I have total faith that my dog will come home happy and healthy every time. I originally checked out a few other places and Heatherstone had the biggest runs and the most reasonable prices. Cute shop too! The dogs have a heated area inside, and a large covered area for running and exercising outside. My dog is a chow mix and can be sketchy with other dogs so I was happy that they can only see the other dogs not touch them, and I did not have to worry about her attacking any other persons pet. They were confident in giving the required medicine she needed and gave her a great bath before she left. I definitely recommend them, we have never been disappointed. Pros: No contact with other dogs, intelligent staff, PRICES! Cons: ?? more

I do not recommend boarding your dog at this kennel. Your dog not leave a 4? by 6? chain link cage with cement floor the entire time it is at this kennel. Once a day while they clean the inside cage the dog is locked outside in an identical outdoor cage. Dogs staying at this kennel get no walks, no running and never get to play with any outer dogs. My dogs will never stay at Heatherstone Kennels again. Cons: Dogs are locked away in small cage and never get to leave. more

At Heatherstone Kennels, your dog will not get walked, be able to run in a fenced-in area, or have the opportunity to play with other dogs. Your dog will have a small kennel with a small, fenced-in cement pad that he will be released into 3 times a day, and where he will be expected to do his business. Dogs are not allowed to interact with eachother, and there is no opportunity for exercise or play. The place is clean and has a professional appearance, and the staff is very nice. But I have never seen my dog as wound up and anxious as when I picked her up after one night here. If you have a lazy dog, this place is fine. But if your dog needs exercise and fresh air, please go elsewhere. Cons: No time outside the cage. more

My Aussie has been using Heatherstone since he was a puppy and gets all excited when I ask him if he wants to go to the ""puppy hotel""!!! They treat him well and I never have to worry that he might not get fed or watered or let out to run. Peace of mind is priceless and Heatherstone provides peace of mind for me and my dog. I would and have highly recommended this kennel. Pros: Family atmosphere - good with our furry friends Cons: facility is adequate but could be updated more

I have boarded my three nutty terriers at Heatherstone Kennels and have always been happy with my experience. My dogs absolutely love Deb and the whole crew. I can vacation with the peace of mind that my ""babies"" are being well-cared for while I am away. You also cannot beat the competitive rates. more
